00:09When Sklenar showed up at the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscar party,
00:13internet sleuths noticed he was wearing a pink floral brooch that appeared to match the one Baldoni sported
00:18at the It Ends With Us premiere in New York back in August of last year.
00:22Amid the ongoing legal dispute between Baldoni and actress Blake Lively,
00:27observers speculated about what message Sklenar was trying to send by wearing the accessory.
00:31When the actor was asked if there was any hidden meaning behind the pin at the 2025
00:35South by Southwest premiere of his new movie The Drop, he told People magazine this.
00:40Honestly, no. No, no. I, I, I, no. I wish I could say there was. That was a total happenstance.
00:48He continued,
00:49I woke up in the morning and saw an article and I was like, oh damn, I literally had no idea.
00:54I had an idea I wanted to wear like a floral brooch of some kind and that was the color that I liked
00:59the best. And lo and behold, someone also wore that prior to me wearing it. The actor spoke to
01:04The Hollywood Reporter about Lively and Baldoni's ongoing legal battle on the red carpet of the
01:08Vanity Fair party. And finally, I know you're very supportive over your female co-stars as well.
01:12Blake Lively, how are you hoping to support her during this time?
01:15I mean, I, I just, I just, it's, it's a tough situation and I, I just hope everyone remembers
01:24what the movie's about and why we made it in the first place. And, and, um, it's, it's about love
01:30and it's about supporting women in general and, and helping people through tough times. And that
01:36movie's helped so many people. And I just want people to remember like what it's about and why
01:40we made it and, and to kind of keep it on that, that, that kind of like core ethos. Back in December,
01:45Lively claimed that Baldoni and others sexually harassed her on set of the film and then engaged
01:50in a smear campaign. Baldoni responded with a counter suit against Lively, her husband,
01:55Ryan Reynolds and their publicist, Leslie Sloan, alleging extortion, defamation and claims related
02:01to breach of contract. After Lively's sexual harassment claims first emerged, Sklenar urged his
02:06followers to read what she had to say and signaled his support for Lively, tagging her with a heart
