00:00The This Is Us drama just got another huge update, as actor Brandon Sklenar just released
00:04a statement in his support of his co-star Blake Lively. Blake Lively's latest film did not enjoy
00:09the same smooth success as her husband's recent movie, Deadpool and Wolverine. Instead, It Ends
00:13With Us has been shrouded in controversy. Rumors of a feud between Lively and Baldoni have circulated,
00:18fueled by their minimal interaction during the film's promotion and reports of creative clashes
00:22on set. Adding fuel to the fire, the film, based on Colin Hoover's best-selling novel,
00:27has faced criticism for allegedly romanticizing domestic violence. Amid ongoing backlash,
00:33actor Brandon Sklenar, who plays Atlas Corrigan in the film, released this statement on August 21.
00:38In the statement, Sklenar defends both Lively and Hoover, writing,
00:41"... vilifying the woman who put so much of their heart and soul into making this film
00:45because they believe so strongly in its message seems counterproductive and detracts from what
00:49this film is about." Sklenar also addressed the alleged drama between Lively and her co-star
00:54Justin Baltoni, adding, "... what may or may not have happened behind the scenes does not and
00:58hopefully should not detract from what our intentions were in making this film.
01:02It's been disheartening to see the amount of negativity being projected online."
