Transcript
00:00You're leaving Silicon Valley. Why? Because it was the right time.
00:07TJ Miller is breaking his silence on leaving Silicon Valley in a new interview with Larry King Now.
00:12A week after HBO announced that the actor, best known for his role as Ehrlich Bachman on the comedy,
00:18wouldn't be returning for season five, Miller went on Larry King's show to discuss the reason
00:22behind his upcoming departure. Miller told King,
00:25It was the right time. HBO and I kind of decided that this was a time that the character could leave.
00:31We'd written it in a place where there was an organic departure.
00:34He later added that he's really, really grateful to have gotten a chance to work with co-creator Mike Judge.
00:39He said,
00:45Seemingly unsatisfied, King continued to press Miller on the real reason he was leaving,
00:50asking whether HBO approached him about an exit plan or if it was the other way around.
00:55Miller echoed the sentiments of the official statement, insisting it was a mutual decision
00:59between the two parties. King asked,
01:01Why would they want you to leave? Miller responded with this.
01:04Let's be honest, there's no way that the show isn't going to change and become better.
