Social organizations in Ecuador mobilized in the city of Quito in solidarity with the people and government of Venezuela. Social movements held an anti-imperialist rally to reject the United States’ threats against Venezuela’s sovereignty. Protesters demanded an end to pressure, threats, and blockades in the region and called for respect for the self-determination of the Venezuelan people, in defense of peace in Latin America and the Caribbean. The rally ratified support for the Bolivarian Revolution and joined voices denouncing Washington’s policy of harassment toward sovereign peoples of the world.
