00:00Marking one month since the United States' attack on Venezuela and the kidnapping of
00:04President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Sile Flores, thousands of citizens mobilized in
00:08Venezuela to condemn this atrocious attack and demand the release of President Nicolás
00:12Maduro and the First Lady and Deputy Sile Flores.
00:16Correspondent Brea Meir has the details.
00:21Tens of thousands of citizens came out to the streets of Caracas, Venezuela today on
00:26the one month anniversary of the U.S. government's kidnapping of Constitutional President Nicolás
00:31Maduro and First Lady Sile Flores.
00:34It was a massive show of support for Venezuela's socialist government and a show of force from
00:40the organized working class left.
00:46We are in the streets showing the imperialists that we are a land of peace, we are a land
00:54of love and if this is what we have to do to guarantee the release of our president, we
01:01will be here in the streets, whether during the day or the night, holding vigils, praying,
01:08whatever it takes, we will keep coming out to the streets to defend our president.
01:12Shortly after releasing a national security strategy which promised to bring back the United
01:17States' imperialist Monroe Doctrine, it attacked multiple sites in Venezuela with missiles, killing
01:23a hundred people including civilians, in violation of international norms.
01:28While analysts in the global north spread disinformation and predicted the collapse of the socialist government,
01:34the population rallied behind acting president Delcy Rodriguez with daily protests spreading
01:39across the country that have steadily been growing in size for the past month.
01:45We are demanding the release of Celia and Nicolás.
01:50Exactly one month ago, the U.S. government, represented by the pedophile Trump, invaded Venezuelan
01:58soil, killing over 100 compatriots.
02:01We are mobilized and we will not leave the streets until they return our presidential couple
02:08to us and we reaffirm our support for acting president Delcy Rodriguez Gomez.
02:14One month after the kidnapping of constitutional president Nicolas Maduro and first lady Celia
02:20Flores, the movement on the streets is only expected to continue to grow as people demand
02:26freedom for the kidnapped president of Venezuela and first lady Celia Flores.
