Celebs Who Farted Live on TV Version Toot.0
Transcript
00:00We're never not classy here at Nicki Swift.
00:03Once again, we've gone ahead and done the dirty work for you, tracking down several
00:08celebs who seemingly farted on live TV.
00:11You won't be able to believe your eyes or your ears.
00:14Let's hold our noses and dive deep.
00:17You're really tempting fate with a name like Nancy Grace.
00:20While competing in a 2011 episode of Dancing with the Stars, the bombastic TV journalist
00:25may have succumbed to an on-air butt blurt, and right on the heels of her highly-publicized
00:30wardrobe malfunction the week before.
00:32It was a bit top-heavy at times, my darling.
00:35As you can hear for yourself, Grace offered up what might be her most noxious soundbite
00:39to date.
00:40I saw them several times during the dance, and they were smiling so big.
00:44Let's see if the judges can give us something to smile about after this very emotional night.
00:50This one is most assuredly not fake fart news.
00:54During a 2017 Fox News interview with professional gasbag Jeanine Perrault, 2016 presidential candidate
01:00Ben Carson was enthusiastically discussing something called the Envision program, and
01:05shortly after he recited a bit of scripture, it sounded like some divine intervention swept
01:10in.
01:11You know, the Bible says in the book of Proverbs, without a vision the people perish.
01:15And I discovered...
01:17The nasty news nugget was overlooked by most media outlets, but at least The Daily Show caught
01:22wind of Carson's presumed pant puffer.
01:24Host Trevor Noah deadpanned,
01:26Ben Carson didn't just fart loudly on TV, he did it while quoting scripture.
01:32Noah goes on to say,
01:33Let's not let this hilarious moment distract us from the real issue.
01:37While supporting deep budget cuts to his department, Carson is spending lavishly on dining sets,
01:42lounge furniture, and $5,000 chairs, which is not okay.
01:47Unless that chair costs $5,000 because it has sophisticated fart-suppressing technology.
01:51In that case, it's money well spent.
01:54On April 15, 2019, several online publications were trying to get to the bottom of what Deadspin
02:00called a potential cough fart.
02:02This wasn't your average alleged cough fart, either, because this potential cough fart was
02:06possibly perpetuated by sports commentator Max Kellerman, a co-host of ESPN's First Take.
02:13During an allegedly noisy conversation centered around pro basketball player Kevin Durant,
02:18Kellerman quite possibly succumbed to an on-air, off-camera, high-knee hiccup.
02:22To make matters even murkier, he might have attempted to conceal the sound of his fizzling
02:27flatulence.
02:28Listen and learn.
02:29He ain't scared of anything, but the difference is that Draymond's usually arguing and fighting
02:35with the refs.
02:36Here's an instant replay in case you missed it.
02:39No, but the difference is that Draymond's usually ar-
02:43As Deadspin noted, and we quote,
02:45"...it very much sounded like someone coughed as a maneuver to cover up a fart."
02:50It did, didn't it?
02:51And the situation might be even more dire than that.
02:53One bat-eared Redditor claimed Kellerman farted a total of seven times during the broadcast,
02:58and this intrepid fan even timestamped each presumed sphincter siren.
03:03For example, he noted that the alleged anal acoustics included a so-called little squish.
03:08Can you hear it?
03:09On the other hand, maybe he learns his lesson early, you know?
03:12And then there's this teachable moment, which the Redditor warns is, quote, a bit quiet.
03:17In our opinion, it's not quiet enough.
03:19Less of an irritant than somebody, like f-
03:22In its own unflinching story, AOL pointed out that Kellerman had some explaining to do,
03:28and explain a way he did.
03:29He appeared on the Dan LeBetard show the next day and denied that any of this ever happened.
03:34I will say this.
03:36No, I did not fart in the set.
03:37I have farted in the past, though.
03:39That is true.
03:40But that is not one of the instances.
03:41Well, by one Redditor's tally, it's seven of the instances.
03:46Is there trouble brewing at ESPN?
03:48It certainly sounds like it.
03:50Former NBA star and current ESPN commentator Paul Pierce may have suffered his own on-air
03:55indiscretion on May 8, 2019.
03:59According to TMZ, he farted on co-host Michelle Beadle.
04:03This reportedly went down during a broadcast of Off The Clock, and Pierce's presumed past
04:08gas didn't exactly pass under the radar, either.
04:11Here's how Beadle and sports analyst Jalen Rose reacted.
04:14"...Michelle Beadle smelling something in the air, this gentleman missed the big shot.
04:22That's an inside joke."
04:23"...we're trapped in a room, y'all."
04:24Following the segment, ESPN producer Mike Goldfarb gave Pierce the benefit of the doubt,
04:29tweeting that,
04:30"...Paul may or may not have farted at the start of the taping."
04:33Doing her part to clear up any confusion, Beadle responded,
04:37"...no, he did, period."
04:39Judging by what we heard, that may indeed be the truth.
04:42Does the name Joe Swash ring a bell?
04:45While he's yet to make waves in America, he's evidently breaking plenty of wind on the other
04:49side of the pond — on television, no less.
04:51The English actor and TV personality is perhaps best known for his stint on the British soap opera
04:57Eastenders.
04:58He played a character named Mickey Miller, a character who, coincidentally enough, gets injured
05:03in a major gas explosion.
05:06Mickey!
05:06We can't get down!
05:08Where's the song, Mickey?
05:09It's burning!
05:10I'm busy poking her ankle, Jase!
05:12Help us do something!"
05:14On February 12, 2019, it sounded like Swash really let loose on an episode of the talk show
05:20Loose Women.
05:21While opening up about matters of the heart, he was rudely interrupted by an altogether different
05:25part of his anatomy.
05:26"...and then I would tell her what I think about her rather than in a letter."
05:33This alleged fluffadoodle reverberated through social media channels, with one startled viewer
05:38tweeting,
05:39"'Did Joe Swash just fart on live TV?
05:41Was he brought up with my dad in our council house?'
05:44The answer to one of those questions seems to be a resounding yes.
05:47What's more, this apparently wasn't the first time Swash emitted some thunder from Down Under.
05:52While filming a TV show, he also tooted his own horn while shooting an
05:56episode of the children's show The Dog Ate My Homework, which you can clearly hear in
06:00this outtake.
06:01"'Ian, Captain, you've got work from London?'
06:10Sorry!"
06:11Hey, whatever pays the bills.
06:13British people are embarrassed easily, a fact that actor Leslie Nielsen apparently knew how
06:18to exploit.
06:19On June 20, 1991, the airplane star perked up two daytime hosts with what sounded like some
06:25impromptu rump ruckus.
06:26The on-air awkwardness went down on UK morning show TV AM.
06:30"'Til now, and you really start to watch what's happening.
06:33That's the other thing about the humor, is you have to pay attention to it.'
06:38The host didn't let it slide, either.
06:40"'You're not going to ask me to leave, are you?'
06:42"'Well, maybe you'd just like to go to the little ladies' room for a while,
06:45or the little gents' room, and then come back and sort yourself out.'
06:47Oh, you corrected that, yeah."
06:49Later, Ulrika Johnson presented the weather in Wales, quipping,
06:53"'I'm so sorry about this.
06:54We're suffering from wind here as well."
06:57It's worth noting that Nielsen also appeared to have some trouble on the British chat show
07:01Wogan back in 1989.
07:03"'I'm always associated with being, you know, a man who has a background, an education,
07:08and I'm well-mannered, and, you know, I have to protect that image, whatever.'"
07:13But in the grand tradition of Pull My Finger, the late actor could have been pulling your
07:17proverbial leg.
07:18In 2015, Ted Danson told The A.V. Club,
07:22Nielsen had a handheld bellows-like thing that was a fart noise maker.
07:26He was relentless.
07:27Most people would do something like that, get a few laughs, and put it away.
07:30He would not."
07:32Here's another working theory.
07:33Nielsen's tailwinds were genuine, and he only used this clever contraption to cover his tracks.
07:39Sadly, Nielsen took the truth and his love for potty humor to the grave.
07:43According to Snopes, his gravestone in Fort Lauderdale's Evergreen Cemetery contains one
07:48final fart joke.
07:49In lieu of the traditional R.I.P., Nielsen opted for Let Her Rip.
07:54A moment of silence, not a chance.
07:56"'Excuse me.
07:57I don't know whether I can do this.'"
