00:21Officer Cary Mahoney in a number of the hilarious hit movies, tweeted on Monday that
00:25a new Police Academy was in the works. Responding to a Twitter user who asked
00:29the star to please film another installment and to do it in London, Guttenberg responded,
00:34Adam, the next Police Academy is coming. No details yet, but it is in a gift bag being readied.
00:39To date, there have been seven films in the Police Academy franchise, the first released in 1984.
00:44The first film was an adult comedy, rated R, but the rest of the films in the franchise
00:49were geared more toward teens and kids, rated PG-13 and PG. The film franchise helped sport
00:54a cartoon series and a toy line and made actors such as Michael Winslow and Bobcat
00:59and Goldthwait household names. Guttenberg, who received a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame
01:03in 2011, went on to have roles in successful films such as 1985's Cocoon, 1986's Short Circuit,
01:10and 1987's Three Men and a Baby, as well as its sequel Three Men and a Little Lady in 1990.
