Transcript
00:00You embraced your inner Clark Kent out there.
00:02How did that feel?
00:03It was fun.
00:04That transition from smiling, you know, Steve to serious.
00:08I mean, it was just, I hope it was a moment that we were trying to make it
00:11because I felt that moment happen where I was smiling, serious.
00:15And, like, that was the whole thing with the dance today.
00:16And I was just really happy with how everything went.
00:19Yes.
00:19What would you say about that?
00:21His seriousness compared to smiling.
00:22Yes.
00:23No, I just loved it.
00:24Like, Steven absolutely killed it.
00:26And I feel like you can give him any character, and he would work on it
00:29and make sure it happens.
00:30And just give it his all.
00:31The minute he's in that mode, you're just like, wow, he is in it to win it,
00:34and I just love it so much.
00:36I mean, it's crazy to go from the jive, like, super happy and upbeat to a posse,
00:39which is kind of like the polar opposite, but he absolutely smashed it.
00:43Yeah.
00:43And you removed the glasses once again.
00:46Are we going to be seeing you take off the glasses for each dance?
00:49I can guarantee you it won't be for every dance.
00:52I can't tell you which ones, but some things, some dances, that moment is necessary
00:57because I might be doing something fun in it where these could fly off
01:00and it's on in the crowd, and we do not want that.
01:03But, yeah, I mean, today, especially with that goofiness to the seriousness,
01:07relating that to the Olympics, we had to take the glasses off
01:09because that was my moment, and we wanted to recreate that.
01:12Yeah.
01:12And I need to know, wait, can you see without them?
01:15I can see well enough.
01:16I can see the red light on the camera, and I can see Riley, and that's all I need to see.
01:19Yes.
01:20Amazing.
01:21And we had our double elimination this week.
01:24So what was going through your mind when you were standing up there
01:26before you heard your name called?
01:28What were you thinking?
01:29Well, I thought we scored well, and from the interactions we've had online,
01:33I thought we were in a good place of the votes, so I wasn't necessarily worried about it.
01:37But no matter what, it's really sad to see people go
01:39because I've made friends with everyone here, and, you know, it's just tough.
01:43And Riley, how would you compare teaching for this season
01:48to your first season on Dancing with the Stars?
01:50I mean, this season I just feel so comfortable and just so, like, awesome about it.
01:56I have an amazing canvas to work on, so honestly my job is just so easy this season.
