00:04in his new memoir, The Answer Is, Reflections on My Life, released on Tuesday.
00:09The longtime Jeopardy! game show host, who is undergoing an experimental immunotherapy
00:13treatment following his stage 4 pancreatic cancer diagnosis, revealed,
00:17I'm going to stick with this current protocol, then that's it.
00:20If it doesn't work, I'll probably stop treatment.
00:23It wasn't an easy conversation, and it isn't any easier writing these words.
00:27Quality of life was an important consideration.
00:29He also says that after telling his family, they all had a good cry, but he's content with his choice.
00:35He writes, I'm not afraid of dying.
00:37Trebek went on to explain that he's proud he's lived a good, full life at 80 years old.
00:42However, Trebek admitted he has recently received some positive news and is going in the right
00:46direction while speaking on Good Morning America on Monday.
00:50He shared that his cancer indicator numbers have dropped from 3,500 to under 100 in just 8 weeks.
00:56Trebek said the doctors told him they've never seen a chart like his.
