Transcript
00:00Say something about the motherfuckers, bitch!
00:04Twelve long years later, Natalie Portman finally hosted
00:07Saturday Night Live for the second time, and she shocked us all
00:10by dropping a rap video that was even harder than the classic original.
00:14Say something nice about Jar Jar Binks!
00:18Though nothing topped it, there were other high points this week,
00:20including the returns of Tina Fey and Rachel Dratch,
00:23Portman's spot-on impression of Eleven in Stranger Things,
00:26and some first lady advice for Melania Trump.
00:28Oh, and Alec Baldwin dropped by to play Melania's husband Donald.
00:32You may have heard of him in the cold open.
00:34And that's where we start this week as we look back at SNL's most memorable moments.
00:38The show kicked off by tackling the Nunes memo released by House Republicans last week.
00:42Written by Representative Devin Nunes, the memo frames the FBI's investigation
00:46into Trump's ties with Russia as a biased, deliberate attack on the president.
00:51Fox & Friends correspondents got a call from Baldwin's Trump.
00:54The president was, surprise, watching the show in bed,
00:57and he was excited to praise the hosts for their stellar, but not too stellar, ratings.
01:01Not as big as the ratings for my State of the Union speech,
01:05which was watched by 10 billion people.
01:08And before getting back to his cheeseburger,
01:10Trump also took a moment to give us this in-depth analysis of the Nunes memo.
01:14This memo might be the greatest memo since the Declaration of Independence.
01:18I don't know. I haven't read either one of them.
01:20Next up, of course, we had a Super Bowl-related sketch.
01:23Former SNL cast members Tina Fey and Rachel Dratch made cameos this week to rep their
01:27hometowns in a feud between Revolutionary War-era New Englanders and Philadelphians.
01:32Like the big game itself, the trash talk was super competitive and escalated quickly.
01:37Boston's not even a real city. It's a college town with a fishing pier.
01:40What if by land? Two by your mother!
01:43Cecily Strong brought back her impression of a sad Melania Trump
01:46in a sketch that gathered multiple First Ladies to offer advice.
01:49Portman played Jackie O, or as Melania called her, Jackie O's.
01:52And Kate McKinnon reprised her Hillary Clinton, who had this to say about how to survive as a First Lady.
01:57You just tell yourself it'll all be worth it when you're president, huh?
02:03After the First Lady shared their husband woes, Leslie Jones came in as Michelle Obama,
02:07who couldn't quite relate.
02:09Barack and I have a perfect relationship. It's like the notebook, but black and rich.
02:13Next, Portman played everyone's favorite superhero with a nosebleed, Eleven,
02:17in a special sneak peek at Stranger Things Season 3.
02:21I can move objects with my mind, but it gives me tiny nosebleeds.
02:24I can start fires with my mind, but every time I do, I throw up a little bit in my mouth.
02:28Happily, we can look forward to a season where Eleven meets a ton of people with special abilities like hers.
02:33Sadly, the side effects keep getting worse.
02:36A.D. Bryant played a teen who can do a pretty good Borat impression that puts her in a coma for two days.
02:41My wife!
02:45And finally, Natalie Portman's killer moment from her first SNL hosting stint way back in 2006
02:51was a rap music video that showed a completely different side of the Harvard-educated Oscar-winning actress.
02:56What you want, Natalie?
02:58To drink and fight!
02:59What you mean, Natalie?
03:00To f*** all night!
03:02That's right, it took 12 long years before we got an even more vulgar sequel,
03:07as Andy Samberg reminded us in his return cameo this week.
03:10It's been 12 long years!
03:13This time around, Portman not only threatened a Star Wars prequel hater with a gun while dressed as Queen Amidala,
03:18she also proved that becoming a mother didn't soften her… at all.
03:22When my water broke, you know it, you're on the doctor!
03:27And she wrapped up the skit by shoving a Time's Up pin into Beck Bennett's forehead
03:32after he asked if the pins were having the impact she was looking for.
03:35Ah!
03:36How's that for impact?
03:37Well, actually…
03:39Oh no!
03:41So, which SNL moments made the biggest impact on you this week?
