00:00Fox's live rendition of Rent now has a cast, including Vanessa Hudgens, singer Tinashe,

00:05and Valentina from RuPaul's Drag Race. Rent, of course, is the beloved rock musical

00:10by the late Jonathan Larson, loosely based on the opera La Boheme, which tells the story

00:15of a group of impoverished young artists struggling to survive and create a life in

00:20New York's East Village, under the shadow of the HIV-AIDS epidemic. The Broadway musical

00:25was adapted into a feature film in 2005. Now, this isn't Hudgens' first time taking

00:29on a Rent role. The Grease Live actress played Mimi in Rent at the Hollywood Bowl

00:34back in 2010. This time, Hudgens will play Maureen, the outgoing performance artist

00:39who's not afraid to take on the establishment. And Kiersey Clemons of Dope and the Flash

00:43will play Joanne Jefferson, Maureen's girlfriend and an Ivy League-educated lawyer.

00:47Meanwhile, Tinashe will portray Mimi, the dancer who struggles with addiction.

00:51And Brennan Hunt plays her love interest, struggling musician Roger Davis.

00:55Valentina will play Angel, a young drag queen and street percussionist who

01:03Superstar Live is set as Tom Collins, the computer scientist who returns to New York

01:08after being expelled from MIT. Hudgens' Grease Live co-star Jordan Fisher will play the musical's

01:13central character of Mark Cohen, an aspiring filmmaker who serves as the show's narrator

01:18while filming the lives of his friends. Grammy winner Mario will take on the role of Benny,

01:23Mark and Roger's former roommate-turned-landlord, who is after their rent.

01:27The Greatest Showman star Keala Seto will perform the musical's famed track, Seasons of Love.

01:32Fox's live rendition of Rent will air on January 27th.
