'The White Lotus' star Jason Isaacs is clarifying his "double standard" comments when it comes to onscreen nudity. His character's full-frontal scene in season three of Mike White's 'The White Lotus' ignited a lot of chatter online. It was previously revealed that Isaacs used a prosthetic for the scene, however, the actor was growing tired of talking about it.

00:16for the scene. However, the actor was growing tired of talking about it. During an appearance

00:20on CBS Mornings, the Harry Potter actor was directly asked if he used a prosthetic,

00:25though he initially attempted to dodge the question. Well, I'll tell you why, because the

00:30best actress this year was Mikey Madison at the Oscars, and I don't see anybody discussing her

00:33Volvo, which was on television all the time. No, I'm not talking about Swedish cars, you know,

00:37so I think it's interesting that there's a double standard for men, but when women are naked,

00:41Margaret Qualley as well in the substance, nobody would dream of talking to her.

00:44Now Isaacs is walking back on his CBS Mornings comments. The internet was having fun with whether

00:49I was wearing a prosthetic in my nude scene, and so was I, but I wanted to avoid that being the

00:54only thing that I was ever asked about in connection with Mike's brilliant series. When so

00:59many people were insistent and seemed weird and inappropriate that what they were actually insisting

01:04on was that they and the public really needed to know whether they'd actually seen my real penis or

01:09not. So bizarre. He offered more, saying, the point I then wanted to make, but made badly,

01:15is that women have been exploited and exposed and treated wildly inappropriately on and off screen

01:20forever. And even then, I'd never witnessed any woman being grilled so specifically about their

01:25genitalia. I shouldn't have invoked any actresses or used the phrase double standard, which was just

01:31poor phrasing. He concluded by teasing, either way, I'd say to anyone still bothered, please just enjoy
