00:00WarnerMedia is standing by DC Films president Walter Hamada even as he faces new and continued attacks from Ray Fisher,
00:07the actor who played Cyborg in 2017's Justice League.
00:15The dispute between Fisher and WarnerMedia dates back to July 1st, 2020,
00:22when the actor alleged on Twitter that writer-director Joss Whedon had been abusive on the set of Justice League.
00:28Fisher further claimed that producers Jeff Johns and John Berg enabled Whedon's alleged behavior.
00:33Whedon, Johns, and Berg had no comment.
00:35An investigation was launched in August and went into the fall.
00:39WarnerMedia announced the conclusion of the investigation December 11th, saying, quote,
00:43remedial action had been taken.
00:45But Fisher reopened an offensive against Hamada at the turn of the new year and continued Wednesday,
00:50accusing the executive of trying to, quote, cover for Johns.
00:54Fisher wrote in a lengthy Twitter post,
00:56I maintain that Walter Hamada is unfit for a position of leadership,
01:00and I am willing at any point to submit to a polygraph test to support my claims against him.
01:05I don't know how many instances of workplace abuse Walter has attempted to cover in the past,
01:09but hopefully the Justice League investigation will be the last.
01:13The company released a statement backing Hamada's integrity on Thursday.
01:16WarnerMedia chair and CEO Anne Sarnoff said, in part,
01:19I believe in Walter Hamada and that he did not impede or interfere in the investigation.
01:25Furthermore, I have full confidence in the investigation's process and findings.
01:29Walter is a well-respected leader, known by his colleagues, peers, and me as a man of great character and integrity.
01:35WarnerMedia issued a separate statement apart from Sarnoff that summed up its side of the proceedings.
01:40It said its extensive investigation was, quote,
01:42conducted by an outside law firm led by a former federal judge who has assured WarnerMedia that there were no impediments to the investigation.
01:50It also said that the company was moving on from giving Fisher the chance to reprise his cyborg role in an upcoming Flash movie,
01:56given his statement that he will not participate in any film associated with Mr. Hamada,
02:01and that it remains in business with Johns.
02:03Back in November, Whedon announced he was stepping away from The Nevers,
02:07a show he had created for WarnerMedia Division, HBO.
