Jason Momoa is backing 'Justice League' co-star Ray Fisher in calling for an investigation into alleged abuse on the set of reshoots of the 'Justice League' movie.
00:00Jason Momoa is standing behind his Justice League co-star Ray Fisher in calling for an investigation into alleged abuse on the set of reshoots for their Warner Bros. movie.
00:21Back on July 1st, cyborg actor Fisher alleged that Joss Whedon, who oversaw reshoots for 2017's Justice League, was abusive on set.
00:29He has also claimed that producers John Berg and Jeff Johns enabled the filmmakers' behavior.
00:34Warner Media said last month it was investigating these claims, but on September 4th, Warner Bros. released a statement claiming Fisher was not cooperating with the investigation.
00:43Fisher denied this with a statement of his own.
00:45Now, Momoa, who plays Aquaman in the film, is backing Fisher.
00:48He posted on Instagram,
00:50This has to stop and needs to be looked at.
00:53Ray Fisher and everyone else who experienced what happened under the watch of WB Pictures needs proper investigation.
00:59I just think it's up that people released a fake Frosty announcement without my permission to try to distract from Ray Fisher speaking up about the way we were treated on Justice League reshoots.
01:09Serious stuff went down.
01:10It needs to be investigated and people need to be held accountable.
01:14Hashtag I stand with Ray Fisher.
01:15The Frosty announcement Momoa is referring to is when reports of the actor starring in a Warner Bros. Frosty The Snowman project hit the morning of July 1st, less than 90 minutes after Fisher made his allegations on Twitter.
01:27According to Momoa, news of that film was leaked as a distraction.
01:31Momoa has important relationships with the studio as he is the face of the $1 billion Aquaman franchise, which has a sequel in the works, and also has December's Dune coming up.
01:40Warner Bros. had no comment on Momoa's statement.
01:43As for Fisher's claims, Berg has denied them while Johns and Whedon have not addressed them publicly.
