Anna Garcia chats with THR at the red carpet premiere for 'Fly Me to the Moon' and describes the vibe working with Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum. Plus, she reveals how immersive the movie set felt.
00:00The vibes were good. Everyone, the cast is like, you couldn't have asked for a better cast. So nice. All good actors. Like it just, big budget movie. Like it was just so epic and insane and everyone was just excited to be there and the sets were nuts. It was just like, it was a dream. It was truly a dream.
00:30How did Scarlett balance being a star and producer on set? Like what was it like sort of working with her in both of those capacities?
01:00It was, it was really surreal because the sets and the, and the props of people that did the movie are so good at their job that you can't not feel immersed in the world.
01:22Like I remember I did, we did a scene in a diner and I walked in, there was a stack of kids menus and they were like, they had, they had like 1968 at the bottom.
01:30Like they were, they were so, they looked like they came from the era and they never even made it into a shot.
01:35But it's like, I walked into the diner and I was like, oh, this is a diner from the sixties. It was just so immersive.
01:41Yeah.
01:42No, I was sort of, um, looking for a job. I was sort of like, please cast me. I'd love to work. Um, but on top of that, it's like dream project to work and do. And, and Greg, great director, very lovely man. Uh, thank you for giving me this job. Uh, but yeah, I was, I basically was like, I'll take any job. But then the fact that it was this one, it's like, couldn't have dreamed of anything better.
