On the Met Gala red carpet, Teyana Taylor shares details on the feature film she's going to direct starring Storm Reid. She tells THR how the film will start production later this year.

00:10The funniest thing that always happens when you and I talk is you always have snacks with you that you bring to the Met.

00:19I bought a lot of candy this time.

00:21Because it's like I was full.

00:22Last year I tried to bring the food and the candy, and then my candy wound up tasting like the food.

00:27So I said, let me try something new this year and be full, and then just bring the candy.

00:33So then that way I can continue to have a good time, keep my energy up, and not smell like food.

00:38It's so smart, and it doesn't ruin your makeup either.

00:41Because when I get up in here and I get to eat and the food, lipstick gone.

01:25Oh, I actually just got greenlit to do my first feature film, to direct my first feature film called Get Light.

01:33So I'm very excited.

01:41What can you tell us about the project and when does it start filming?

01:43We start filming late this year.

01:46Super excited about that.

01:48I'm not just wrapped up another really big movie that I'm like really excited for.

01:52I can't speak on it.

01:54But it's been a lot of things on, you know, on the net in regards to the movie.

01:58But, you know.

01:59There's a lot of biopics out right now.

02:01Is there a dream role or dream person you'd love to play when it comes to biopics?

02:04My dream person is Dionne Warwick and I have that in the bag.

02:06So I'm very, very excited about that.

02:09That's in the works as well.
