Japan’s Asahi Group, the maker of Super Dry beer, says it plans to fully restore its logistics system by February after a major cyberattack in late September disrupted order processing, shipping, and call centres. The company also confirmed that personal data belonging to 1.52 million customers may have been leaked. Asahi’s CEO says no ransom was demanded or paid, even as ransomware group Qilin claimed responsibility. Shipments are gradually recovering, but full normalisation will take months.
