00:00The Philippine National Police is set to deploy over 15,000 police officers for the planned November 30 protest action.
00:07This follows an alleged agreement with the organizers, LGU and PNP, to ensure a peaceful assembly.
00:14Here's Ryan Macigas with the full details.
00:18No calls for rebellion and sedition.
00:21This is what the Trillion Peso March movement, LGU, and the Philippine National Police or PNP have allegedly agreed upon
00:28regarding the planned protest action on November 30 together with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding or MOU.
00:34According to PNP spokesperson, Police Brigadier General Randolph Tuanyo,
00:38the PNP will deploy more than 15,000 police officers for the upcoming November 30 event.
00:43More than 8,000 of those deployed will come from the NCRPO,
00:47while the remaining more than 6,000 will be augmentation forces from various regional offices.
00:53Police will be deployed to major areas or locations where the protest will take place.
00:58To ensure maximum visibility, quick response, and effective crowd management.
01:12A large number of police officers will also be stationed around Malacaniang.
01:38The specialized units of the PNP will also be on standby to ensure that the protest actions remain peaceful.
01:44Among the police to be deployed are negotiator, monitoring teams, medical teams, as well as arresting, legal, and investigation officers.
01:53Although no threats have been monitored thus far, the NCRPO will still raise its alert level to full alert status on November 28, or two days before the protest.
02:02Ang Philippine National Police, with or without threat, ay patuloy ang intelligence gathering po.
02:11Unestimated 300,000 participants are expected to join the protest action.
02:16In addition, the PNP expects other groups to conduct their own protests simultaneously.
02:21The PNP calls on the public not to follow groups that use deception and violence to incite the youth and various sectors to support their actions that are against the law.
02:31Meanwhile, around 500 personnel from the Philippine Coast Guard will serve as augmentation to the security deployment.
02:38They will also deploy 24-meter vessels in the vicinity of Manila Bay.
