00:00Game number two on Thanksgiving day, 4.30 p.m. kickoff. It's the Kansas City Chiefs and the
00:04Dallas Cowboys. This game was set up to be dead on arrival on Sunday midway through those games.
00:10The Philadelphia Eagles had a 21-0 lead over Dallas, and it looked like the Indianapolis
00:13Colts in the second half with a double-digit lead over the Chiefs. We're going to walk away
00:17victors and left with this game as, ah, yeah, we'll watch because it's Thanksgiving, but not
00:20a lot of meaning. That's not the case anymore. Dallas back into the playoff picture at least
00:24has a heartbeat, and you take a look at Kansas City off of the carpet as well. This line, Joe,
00:28opened up as a look ahead at 4.5 as a favorite towards the Chiefs. We now see 3.5s and 3s in
00:35the marketplace, and a total that has climbed up from the high 40s into the 52.5 range, depending
00:40once again which book you're looking at here. Kansas City and Dallas on Thanksgiving. It's an
00:44interesting one for me because as you set it up, like you can never really kill Kansas City. It
00:49feels like, you know, Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes, you always have a chance, defense with Spagnoli.
00:53We get it. They're not as explosive as before. They are getting Isaiah Pacheco in this game,
00:57and last week, Kareem Hunt, they actually gave the football to 30 times and worked out in their
01:00favor. Good win over the Colts, but I'd look at the Dallas Cowboys team and say, yes, they made
01:04some trades at the deadline. Queen and Williams is a big deal on that defensive line. I get it,
01:09but that secondary is still suspect. The Philadelphia Eagles are in a funk on offense right now. They
01:13just were a rudderless ship for three quarters in that game. I don't think Kansas City is going to
01:18be that way, so let me start here, Joe. That Dallas defense, how does it hold up against Kansas City?
01:23Or you're buying back in on Dallas, who went up against the lowly Raiders and look good,
01:27and then the Eagles had a miraculous comeback because the Eagles just bottom fell out in the
01:31second half. How are we approaching this game from a Dallas perspective?
01:35Well, it's interesting here because the market believes Dallas, off that win against Philadelphia
01:42at home with this new look defense, maybe a little bit undervalued in this spot. And I would
01:48tend to agree with him if this game was on, oh, I don't know, Donnie, Sunday, but it's on a short
01:54week. And history tells us the Chiefs, not just the Chiefs, but when we get these Thursday games at
02:01this point in the season, right? Week 11, Donnie, this isn't week four, this week and five, right?
02:06This is after week 11. Here we are, week 13. There is a reason why the Chiefs are a road favorite
02:14because road favorites on Thanksgiving, Donnie, 25 and one straight up, 20 and six against the
02:20number since 2004. And it makes sense. That's a trend that makes sense to me, Donnie, because again,
02:26we're past the point of, oh, it's just, it's variants. We don't know what the team really,
02:31we know what these teams are. The books know what these teams are now here heading into week 13.
02:36And for the Chiefs to be a field goal or more favorite, they are a field goal or more favorite
02:43on Thanksgiving for a reason. It's the only thing keeping me off backing Dallas is because that
02:50trend makes a lot of sense to me, given where we are in the season and given the fact that you can
02:55have a great defense now, but Mahomes is still, you still got to stop Mahomes and that offense.
03:01And I have my questions.
