Dan Aykroyd tells THR on the 'Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire' red carpet what it was like seeing all the OG's reunite on the big screen in 'Ghostbusters: Afterlife' and seeing Harold Ramis with them. Plus, he shares his hopes for the 'Ghostbusters' franchise moving forward.

00:00Your return was teased at the end of the last film,

00:03but what was it like being fully back into the Ghostbusters franchise?

00:08It was very satisfying as an artist and an actor to be asked to come and play this role again

00:13and to have a concept that we all originated way back when be embraced by everybody.

00:22I feel flattered, I feel grateful, I feel exhilarated tonight

00:27because we've melded the original Ghostbusters with the new cast

00:32in an organic, honest way that people are going to love.

00:36What was the first thought that you had when you saw yourself back in the suit?

00:40Well, I thought that I was very happy that Taylor made the alteration so it would fit me.

00:47Very happy that it looked the same to me, but of course it wasn't.

00:52You rocked it. You rocked it for sure.

00:55And finally, I want to say the ending of the last movie really got me emotional

01:00with all four Ghostbusters reunited.

01:02What was that like watching that back on the big screen for the first time

01:05and seeing Harold up there?

01:07We loved Harold and the way they did that effect was so moving and emotional.

01:13Truly, we were feeling it as actors that afternoon when we shot that.

01:17We were feeling his absence.

01:19And what are you hoping for the future of the franchise moving forward?

01:22I hope this young cast stays with us and wants to do a few more of them.

01:27And we've all got ideas for stories,

01:30so we'll just have to see how Frozen Empire does out there at the box office.

01:34Staying in New York, a new location maybe for the next one?

01:38We like New York, but that's not to say that we couldn't make New York the base

01:42and travel off somewhere else.

01:44But, hey, there are ghosts around the world.

01:47So.
