President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris' Presidential Inaugural Committee on Wednesday announced a primetime special that will effectively serve as the conclusion to the day's events.

00:00Tom Hanks is set to host a primetime special to cap off Joe Biden and Kamala Harris's
00:05inauguration celebrations. The special Celebrating America will be hosted by Hanks and will air from
00:128.30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Inauguration Day, January 20th, and will air across participating networks
00:18such as ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, and MSNBC, as well as being online. The special will feature appearances
00:25from the future president and VP, as well as performances by Jon Bon Jovi, Demi Lovato,
00:30Justin Timberlake, Ant Clemens, and other performers still to be announced.
00:34Timberlake shared on social media a clip of the song he'll be performing called Better Days,
00:39a collaboration he wrote during lockdown with Clemens to, quote,
00:42encourage everyone to stay hopeful and to keep working towards a better future.
00:47The special, which the Presidential Inauguration Committee says is the capstone to the day's
00:51events, was developed in part because the COVID-19 pandemic is forcing many traditional
00:56inauguration events, such as live concerts and the inaugural parade, to be canceled. As a result,
01:02the organization is finding other ways to engage with Americans on the big day.
01:06The PIC is also continuing to fundraise for the event, including hosting a panel with cast members
