Transcript
00:00Congratulations on season two. Give us your best pitch. Why should everyone be
00:04team black over team green? Well, the basic answer is team black is right
00:10because the king named the Queen Rhaenyra and Hisea. That is the way things work.
00:15If you're right, you're right, and if you're wrong, you're green. And also we
00:19just look good in black and we're sexy. I love that. Enough said. Y'all are sexy.
00:23Do you feel like that sort of rivalry translated off screen? Was there any
00:27friendly competition between the teams? No, you see the reason, well not for me
00:31because one of the differences in this this season as opposed to last, in season
00:37one there were about five or six episodes where we were all together. So I'd see
00:42them all every time we shot. This time because we're all scattered and we're all
00:45people have started taking taking sides. I didn't see them. So like today is the
00:50first time I've seen him since we rehearsed. And also Matt Smith. Olivia I
00:55think I bumped into once. Fabio and I didn't see much of you and I didn't see
00:59so so we couldn't really have that rivalry thing. So I feel like it'll have
01:03to start now today. Absolutely. Yes. I'm making sure they don't get to drink, that
01:08they don't get good seats. You know, it's starting now. Yeah. I love that. I also
01:13want to ask what were you most excited to explore with Corliss as as that
01:17character this season? Well, I think because this season you see another side to
01:21Corliss, you see in season one, he's very much on the front foot. He's very much
01:25this is what we're going to do and we're going to do this and you're going to do
01:27that. And he was very much leading. And then at the end of season one, he's like,
01:32okay, it was my ambition that has caused me to lose all of these people. So now I
01:36don't want to be any part of this. It's his wife who says, no, we've got to
01:38support Rhaenyra this season. I think he is still suffering from grief. It's only been a
01:44few days since the end of season one. He is having to deal with his past misdemeanors
01:51coming back to haunt him. I can't say any more than that, but you'll see the
01:53show and you know what I mean. And trying to hold on to that which is most sacred
01:56to him, which is his wife. And the fact that normally when he comes across an
02:01emotional issue that he can't deal with, he goes to sea. Season one, he went to sea
02:06for six years, but now his ship is in repair. He himself is still recovering, so
02:10he can't go anywhere. He now has to stop and face his face his demons.
02:16Okay, so a lot to explore this season. I also want to ask, I know the language of
02:20this universe can be tough to master at times. Do you have any tricks to how to
02:25master High Valyrian?
02:26Well, I'm lucky. I don't have to say any. I just have to, for me, the character just,
02:32he understands it and can speak it. But when we're doing the scenes, I just pretend
02:35like I understand it. It's like that. Yeah, but I, but also the language is kind of old and
02:42Shakespearean and I've done my fair pair bit of Shakespeare, so it helps.
