00:00What was your dance background, and did you help with any of the choreography at all?
00:04Oh no, I didn't help with the choreography.
00:06We had an amazing choreography team, and they really did a great job of making something
00:10that felt super authentic to what a boy band would do.
00:14My dance background comes from performing on stage behind artists, so it was really
00:18interesting to then step onto kind of the other side, instead be the artist, and be
00:22the one holding the mic and carrying the tune, yeah.
00:26I know a lot of people have, you know, made comparisons for August Moon, and also comparing
00:32it to One Direction, but was there any other boy bands or boy band members that you look
00:36to for inspiration?
00:38I really wanted to create something that felt authentic and unique to myself, so I really
00:43wanted to just look at what do I bring to the table, and how would I live this out if I was
00:48someone who got picked to be in a boy band, like what would that experience look like
00:51on my body, on my voice, like what would that look like for me?
00:55And I think that we really did that, I think we created something that's unique, like August
00:58Moon is not like a knockoff of anything else, August Moon is August Moon, yeah.
01:03It's OG content.
01:05Yeah, I know, I love that.
01:06Well, was there any version of August Moon for you?
01:08I know a lot of, like we said, a lot of Moonheads in the house, who was that for you, who was
01:12an artist or a band that you absolutely obsessed over growing up?
01:16Well, not growing up, but BTS is so cool.
01:19Okay.
01:20They are so, so cool, and so I do love BTS, and I love seeing how those boys are just performers,
01:27like just really strong performers.
01:29So, uh, BTS if you're watching, yeah.
01:31Yes, if you're watching, then...

02:04You walk out of the theater feeling like life is possible again, and that, that's
02:08a feeling that I think was really missing in the cinema for a while.
02:11So, I'm happy to, I'm happy to share this piece with the world.
