Hollywood took to social media Wednesday to pay tribute to the beloved dancer, choreographer, actor and producer, known for 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' and 'So You Think You Can Dance,' who died at the age of 40.

00:14Boss joined the Ellen DeGeneres show as a guest DJ in 2014, eventually becoming a breakout star
00:20on the series and a co-executive producer in 2020. DeGeneres wrote on Twitter,
00:24I'm heartbroken. Twitch was pure love and light. He was my family and I loved him with all my heart.
00:31I will miss him. Please send your love and support to Allison and his beautiful children,
00:36Wesley, Maddox, and Zaya. Leah Remini, who said on the So You Think You Can Dance judging panel with
00:40Boss, said she was heartbroken by the news and shared a lengthy tribute on Instagram.
00:45She wrote in part, Twitch was always so kind to me and everyone who worked so hard behind the scenes.
00:50Twitch was the guy who played and interacted with his fans in the audience during commercial breaks
00:55and he encouraged all the contestants when the cameras weren't rolling. He had such a passion
00:59and love for dance and guiding artists and the contestants on the show. She went on to say,
01:04Twitch adored his wife Allison and their three kids more than anything. He would talk about them
01:09all the time with such pride. He had a laugh and smile that lit up the whole room.
01:13Kerry Washington wrote,
01:14The world lost a bright light today. Twitch brought joy and love to people all over the world
01:19through music and through dance. My heart is heavy today for his family and all of those who knew
01:24and loved him. YouTube creator Kaylin Allen, who was a correspondent for The Ellen Show, wrote,
01:29To my beloved friend, confidant, and brother, God knows my heart is at a standstill because I have
01:34never known a friend like you. No words, dance, or show can adequately capture just how magnificent
01:39your existence was to this world and me. He also wrote that Boss was, quote,
01:44the glue between the pieces on the daytime talk show. Lonnie Love shared a video from Boss's 40th
01:49birthday party on Twitter and wrote, in part, A kind soul and a sweet person. That is how I will
01:54remember Twitch. She went on to say, This is devastating. I love you, brother, and will miss
