The former co-star of The CW's long-running hit said the news of the network's third attempt at a spinoff produced by his onscreen brother was the "first I've heard about it."
00:00Jared Padalecki is saying he's gutted over having no involvement in the new Supernatural spinoff, The Winchesters.
00:07Padalecki took to social media late Thursday and expressed his frustration after seemingly learning for the first time
00:13that his former on-screen brother Jensen Ackles is spearheading development as well as narrating the prequel series as his character Dean Winchester.

00:23When a fan pressed the actor whether he was joking or not, Padalecki, who spent 15 seasons playing Sam Winchester opposite Ackles, clarified that he wasn't.
00:44In a since-deleted tweet, Padalecki also called out Supernatural co-executive producer Robbie Thompson, who is slated to write the script for the spinoff.
