02:46Are all usually regenerated cellulose, tinutunaw pa yung bamboo stock bago sila maging fibers

02:55The technology of PTRI is the direct extraction of our bamboo fibers from the bamboo stocks

03:01So completely omitting the step of regenerating the fibers

03:04So from there, we can automatically get our fibers and use them for our fabrics

03:10Sa supply naman, iginit ni Basat na stable ang sources ng pineapple at banana fibers

03:15Dahil galing ito sa agricultural waste na mga magsasaka at na mga kumpanya

03:19Dagdag pa niya, mas mabilis tumubo ang bambu kaya malaki ang potensyal nito bilang susunod na major fiber source

03:27Ipinagmalaki rin ng DOST ang SAFATOS program

03:30Na layong gawing fully Filipino ang footwear industry ng bansa

03:34Mula raw materials, processing, design, hanggang sizing system ng mga Pilipino

03:40SAFATOS actually stands for Shoes and Footwear Accessories R&D on textile-based omnibus solutions

03:45The SAFATOS program is an entire ecosystem that we really want to establish

03:51We wanted to strike while the iron is hot such that meron tayong innovations on textiles

03:57So why not integrate that innovation in textiles to support the global strive for more sustainable footwear

04:05Sa pamamagitan ng mga makabagong teknolohiya ng DOST-PTRI

04:09Magiging mas competitive ang local textile at footwear industries

04:13At makapagbibigay ng dagdag kita para sa mga lokal na magsasaka, manghahabi, at creative workers sa buong bansa
