00:29Before we get to him, let's talk about the getaway driver.
00:32TMZ did some investigative research when they got a tip that the getaway car was seen at an auto shop.
00:38After some more digging, the site was able to get Eric's number, call it, and a woman picked up.
00:44TMZ reports the woman that was in the car with Nipsey's alleged killer claims she had no idea what he was doing.
00:50The lady says that she and Eric had been friends since around June, and she doesn't know what he was doing when he went to Nipsey's store.
00:57TMZ also claims despite saying that she would call the police to clear her name, she hung up when they asked where he was.
01:03Now the site is reporting the woman did end up speaking to the LAPD and was allowed to go free, however she may be arrested and or charged at a later date.
01:13It's unsure if she's the reason the cops were able to capture Eric at the moment.
01:18The site also reports Eric is being held in solitary confinement and they refuse to let him be in general population.
01:24He'll be remaining in solitary confinement once transferred to LA County Jail for trial.

01:39Apparently, he was in the middle of trying to help a friend who was locked up for 20 years and had just gotten out.
01:45Nipsey wanted to give him some clothes from the Marathon store to prepare him for a job interview and didn't alert his security because the visit was spur of the moment.
