The SAG-AFTRA strike isn't over yet. The Union and the AMPTP issued a joint statement on Monday saying that talks have ended for the day and will resume negotiations on Wednesday. "SAG-AFTRA and the AMPTP held negotiations and have concluded for the day. 00:24The union, led by Fran Drescher and boasts 160,000 members, has been on strike since
00:30July 14th. After film and TV productions have been halted since the summer and pickets in Los
00:35Angeles and New York and around the country, the AMPTP and SAG-AFTRA initially returned to the
00:41bargaining table on October 2nd. In that time, the Writers Guild of America, who was also on
00:46strike since May 2nd, inked a tentative deal on September 24th. With the resolution of the WGA
00:52dispute, hopes have been high in the industry for a deal breakthrough between the AMPTP.
