Shaboozey calls it an "indescribable" feeling when it comes to seeing all of his dreams become a reality at the MTV Video Music Awards. Plus, he dishes on working with Beyoncé for 'Cowboy Carter.'
00:02And I also know that you are nominated for the first time for a CMA award.
00:06You said that you wrote a song about winning a CMA in 2016.
00:09So how does it feel to be having all these first-time nominations?
00:14Really cool. It's really amazing.
00:16It's fun to just, you know, it's always cool to have a dream and see it kind of come to reality.
00:20You know, I had a tweet the other day or a couple weeks ago that just said, you know, you'll never, like,
00:25I don't remember what it was, but the feeling of, like, having your dreams come true is something you will never be able to feel unless it, like, kind of happens.
00:32And it's indescribable. So it's really, really, that's it.
00:37How would you describe this era of music that you're putting out right now?
00:41Just me. It just feels like this is kind of, like, what everything I've been working towards has, like, led up to this moment.
00:48And I'm just here taking it one step at a time, one day by day, you know, having fun with it all.
00:53You've been doing a lot of collabs lately. Everyone was talking about your collaboration with Beyonce.
00:58She had one of the best country albums this year. What was it like working with her on that record?
01:02It was amazing. Just learned so much. Just learned about, as an artist, how you got to stay inspired.
01:07Stay just kind of, like, pushing through your projects and your process and just trusting it and getting there and just not compromising with things. So, yeah.
