Chris Harrison Teases Rachel's 'Happy' Ending On 'The Bachelorette' -- Did She Find Love

00:00Fans have really wanted a black bachelor, a bachelorette for years.

00:04Why do you think Rachel was the perfect pick to take this on?

00:08I don't think Rachel's the best black bachelor or bachelorette.

00:12I just think she's the best pick to be the bachelorette.

00:15And I think that to me was the most meaningful and the most important thing is I know it makes for great articles and it makes for great TV.

00:24And look, after a show's been on for 15 years, you've got to write something because you can't just write good things

00:28and you can't write happy articles.

00:30So it's like we've got to find something to pick on.

00:32And so I'm glad that we stuck to our guns and still just made the best choice.

00:38And we just picked the best woman for the job.

00:40And guess what?

00:41She happens to be African-American and she's the first.

00:43And that's important.

00:44It's not lost on me.

00:45The diversity is important.

00:46And we've been making great strides and working hard to make sure that everybody finds themselves represented

00:52because that's a good thing.

00:53But at the same time, I think you have to do it the right way.

00:56You still have to make what is considered to be the right choice instead of just doing something because everyone says you need to.

01:03Now, the season wrapped last week.

01:05What can you tell us about the ending this time around?

01:08I can tell you she's happy.

01:10I can tell you it went well.

01:11And she's great.

01:13I mean, I love Rachel.

01:16I found it easy to be around her.

01:19I enjoyed spending time with her, traveling around, and we all did.

01:23I mean, the whole production just really fell in love with her.

01:25She was so gracious and so kind.

01:27And that just makes our job so much easier when everybody is enjoying it.

01:31And you find that the crew really gets behind her, too.

01:33And they're wishing her well.

01:34And I think you'll see that in the product.

01:36I think that comes through.
