00:00What's it like reuniting with the Baby Reindeer cast at Emmys events like this one?
00:04I mean, yeah, it's just a surreal experience to even be here, so it's so nice to see everyone.
00:08We had a big panel last night with me, Richard, Nava, and Tom, and it's just amazing.
00:11I'm very proud to be part of the show, let alone be over here in Hollywood,
00:16getting a chance to talk about it. Yeah, it's lovely.
00:18It was such an intense and emotional series for you.
00:21What was it like letting Martha go after filming ended? Was that hard to do?
00:25It's so funny, because sometimes I used to hear interviews with actors,
00:27because you say about letting the character go, and I'd be a bit like, get over yourselves.
00:31But no, with Martha, I was so fond of her as a character, and also her and Donnie's relationship,
00:38that it did take me a while to shake it off, because I'm very proud to be part of telling Richard's story.
00:43And so, yeah, I really missed it, but I also love being part of a team,
00:46so whenever I finish a job, I always miss the cast and the crew.
00:50So I'm so pleased we get to have a kind of second life with it,
00:53and get to talk about it here over with you guys. It's lovely.
00:56How would you say your life has changed since the show came out?
00:59Well, I hope I haven't changed too much, but I just would say, I suppose,
01:03it's a real privilege to be part of a show that is kind of making a difference and changing people's lives,
01:09and it's really amazing for me to be part of telling Richard's story,
01:12and to even have chats with people over in the street over here,
01:15who are coming up saying how much the show really means a lot. Yeah, it's great.
01:19What sort of responses have you gotten from fans of the show,
01:21who maybe felt seen and represented by the series?
01:24Yeah, well, I don't think there's been any kind of show that's shown what happens in episode four
01:29the way that Richard told it. I think he was such a brave actor during that,
01:33and also, obviously, because he wrote the series as well, it's a really brave undertaking.
01:37So, so many people have come up and said how much that episode meant to them
01:40and changed their lives. So, you know, the fact that people feel seen for the first time
01:44is really important, I think, yeah.
01:46And looking forward, what sort of roles do you want to take on next,
01:49following all this Emmy recognition?
01:51Well, I think I've been a bit spoilt with Martha.
01:53I've been acting for 17 years now.
01:56So hopefully it won't take another 17 years for another kind of Martha part to come along.
02:00But I'm just excited to see what's next, yeah.
02:02I feel very proud to be part of the show.
02:04Yeah.
02:05Thank you so much. Thank you for being here tonight.
02:07Thank you for coming over.
