00:00There is a new momentum in peace negotiations.
00:13Yesterday's meeting in Geneva between the United States, Ukraine,
00:20the European Union institutions and European representatives
00:26marked significant progress.
00:30We welcome the step forward and some issues remain to be resolved,
00:37but the direction is positive.
00:40And we commend the efforts of Presidents Zelensky and Trump and their teams.
00:49It is also clear that the issues that concern directly the European Union,
00:59such as sanctions, enlargement or immobilized assets,
01:06require the full involvement and decision by the European Union.
01:13The European Union is committed to continue providing President Zelensky
01:19with all the support he needs – diplomatic support, military support, economic support.
01:28Good morning.
01:32An efficient and coordinated European engagement, as well as a strong European presence in Geneva,
01:42has allowed us to make good progress in the negotiations for just and lasting peace in Ukraine.
01:50While work remains to be done, there is now a solid basis for moving forward.
01:57As we do, we must remain united and keep placing Ukraine's best interest at the center of our efforts.
02:07Ukraine's territory and sovereignty must be respected.
02:14Only Ukraine, as a sovereign country, can make decisions regarding its armed forces.
02:23The choice of their destiny is in their own hands.
02:29I also want to emphasize Europe's centrality in the country's future.
02:35We will engage further tomorrow with our partners from the Coalition of the Willing.
