00:01We're in Abu Dhabi for the second game of a doubleheader
00:04and it's Namibia kicking off their Super 12 campaign
00:07after a thrilling win over Ireland got them through the first round of the tournament.
00:12While Scotland are looking to bounce back after being routed by Rashid Khan
00:16and Afghanistan in Sharjah on Monday night.
00:19It's two qualifying teams going head-to-head in the Super 12 stage and it's live.
00:25India win! Unbelievable teams here at the point, right?
00:30The victorious Pakistan team.
00:33Hollywood and his team have won the World 2020 final.
00:37The winners of Stindes!
00:41Sri Lanka, the new champions.
00:44Carlos Bradwick, remember the name!
00:49Live the game, love the game!
00:51Live the game, love the game, live the game, love the game,
00:54the game, love the game, love the game.
00:58It's Scotland against Namibia.
01:01Carl Kurtz is going to be a huge loss for the Scottish team.
01:04It gives Matthew Cross a chance to get to the top of the order.
01:07He'll open up with Munzi.
01:08McLeod, he's been short of runs in this tournament,
01:10but he'll come good hopefully tonight for Scotland.
01:13Barrington, been in great form.
01:15Wallace, the new man in.
01:16I'm not too surprised that they've gone with the same team.
01:18Why change a winning combination?
01:19The only questions might be asked around Zane Green and his form.
01:23He has been struggling a little bit at the top of the order,
01:26opening the betting for Namibia.
01:27He's been doing it for the first time this year.
01:29Let's see how it goes.
01:30First ball of this game.
01:33Oh, it started brilliantly.
01:35What a start.
01:37Dragged onto his stumps.
01:38Munzi's gone for a first ball duck.
01:40Well, this is the worst possible start for Scotland.
01:45The key man, the man Namibia would have wanted.
01:50George Munzi goes for zero.
01:54Feet just not quite moving and has just come in.
01:59Can only find the bottom edge of George Munzi's bat.
02:02Trumpleman absolutely delighted.
02:06Maybe I get that key breakthrough.
02:08George Munzi has to go for zero.
02:12Scotland not for one.
02:14Swing down the leg side.
02:16That will be a wide.
02:28Munzi maybe just a little bit close to cut.
02:31Always feel unlucky when you drag it onto your stumps.
02:35Just a little close to him to cut inside edge onto the stumps.
02:40Feet not quite moving on that occasion.
02:45A perfect start for Namibia.
02:48Munzi's first duck in 29 innings.
02:51Better shape there.
02:54We've seen the left armors just swing this new ball in.
02:58It's a great asset to have to left-hander and right-hander.
03:03Adrian Holstock standing in his 55th T20 International.
03:09A little bit of shape.
03:10He's talking to the batter there.
03:12And Rod Tucker in his 60th.
03:19Yeah, Cross was just talking the umpire.
03:21Any swing?
03:22And he said, yeah, just a bit of shape in.
03:24Not from that length.
03:25Oh, good take.
03:26Very good take.
03:30But another wide.
03:32Definitely a bit of shape out there for Trumpleman.
03:37Which is encouraging to see.
03:42Good opportunity for McLeod to spend some time at the crease.
03:45Bit short of runs in this tournament thus far.
03:47But we know what a classy quality player he is.
03:51He has, you know.
03:52That's two.
03:53Remarkable staff in Namibia.
03:58That's two.
03:59Remarkable staff in Namibia.
04:01That's two.
04:02Remarkable staff in Namibia.
04:05Good night.
04:06Football, I'm not fired.
04:07Calum MacLeod will go to the near fast.
04:20And that will go to the inhalers at the crease.
04:21it's just held its line find the outside edge Helen McLeod's bat Zane Green that
04:26makes no mistake absolutely ideal start here for Namibia
04:33McLeod goes for zero Scotland two for two skipper is in early after three
04:39official deliveries two for two
04:43maybe close
04:46you think it's sneaking down but it's given out on the field and it only has
04:51to be clipping okay ball has clearly missed the bat pitching in line back in
05:03line who gets this umpire's call thank you I'll go back to Adrian on feed Adrian you
05:09can say with your decision you're on screen now you can signal out it is
05:12clipping it is umpire's call and it is another wicket for Trumperman and the
05:17Namibia fans cannot believe it look at this scorecard two for three we've had a
05:23couple of hides we've had four official deliveries we've had carnage here in
05:27Abu Dhabi Barrington standing skipper goes for a duck hat-trick ball
05:35the left side I don't think there's an edge I think it was the pad not why did so
05:41it probably was pad
05:45the slip to think he might be in there and they're gonna get an overthrow no
05:53they're gonna stay there they're gonna have a look it was a good bit of fielding
05:57bats in the air yeah no keep it rolling please freeze it here can you zoom it
06:03here I want to see whether the bad is touching the ground
06:06yeah mighty tight mighty tight edge but doesn't carry doesn't carry and will it go
06:22away for four it does first boundaries for Scotland big cheers go up from the
06:28Scottish fans
06:33it's a welcome boundary for Scotland again quite streaky off the outside edge of
06:39Matthew crosses back
06:43Smith at first slip disappointed with that effort
06:52nicely time nicely time you won't go for for should come back to three it's a
07:04long way out there they do they stroll back for three so a decent over at last
07:10for Scotland eight from it 16 for three
07:15it's been pretty disciplined from Namibia's point of view it's a few wide in
07:24particular in that first over there was a couple there which made over a little bit
07:28long the wickets also made it even longer now David Visser he has been in
07:32superb form with both bat and ball it's been crucial for Namibia to get to the stage
07:37good evening Kotick evening Natalie the word you used is perfect shell shot and after that they're
07:53reeling right now just before us Nas was mentioning about the left armors and why they're so important
08:01that first over itself illustrated that the way the ball came in the one which left I got Callum
08:09excellent by Visser he's found such a good length in this t20 World Cup
08:18David Visser he's read the condition so well right throughout the tournament coming back sharply as well
08:32big appeal that's a huge one the fingers up again what a start this is for Namibia there's a little
08:51chat between the batters as to whether or not they should be going upstairs that one cut him into half
08:57this one came back kept a touch low the fourth we could falls we're just in the sixth over Wallace
09:06goes for four oh we've got to need a little bit of luck in this situation they'll be hoping for quite
09:15a few more of those there's something to cheer about for if you're a Scottish fan
09:26and good lines good lengths again tentative trying to use that longer boundary as much as possible as
09:42well yeah it's not what I got you want to be in at the moment very tough for them after a collapse
09:51again stuff can he's done and now another collapse you know something's got to change sure in terms
10:01of their betting up the order doesn't help of course it car cuts is injured brings a lot of calmness to
10:07that order again you're allowing the opposition to come back into the game just before this game
10:18started saw burnouts calls standing and visualizing around the crease as to what he wanted to do for a
10:25very long time tempting him no wider 26 kilometers an hour does bowl it with decent ice the release
10:44suggests that he's trying to bring the ball and he's not trying to spin it which is fine sometimes in t20
10:50cricket you don't want to give away the wicket you want to be wicked to wicket straight as an arrow
10:55and both the kind of lengths where the batsman can't get underneath
10:59also as a batsman sometimes you know that this one is only going to come in
11:15you try and play a shot or line him up accordingly
11:22we're gonna go for the second run I had to get a move on but they know these twos are important but is it worth the risk of a run out as well
11:37I'm not understanding the tactics from Namibia you've got the opposition 18 for all they want is singles and you're allowing them you've pushed people back you've pushed men back
11:52these are easy singles end of the over 32 for four
11:59I would imagine that Namibia would be looking at that ahead of this game saying all right this is a weakness that Scotland might have against a bit of a more pacey a spin and Bernard Skoltz is pretty good at that
12:07running spin at a bit of pace
12:22the idea of playing spin is also quite different isn't it there are different batsmen who approach it in a different way
12:29that is much needed from Scotland's point of view he was given the chance and he puts it away as he should
12:44a wonderful shot under the circumstances it's come down the track force David visa
12:50even short in his length perfect position to play that shot
12:57macross opening today he's been out there since the start he's seen all the demolition but for Scotland cross is still there
13:17Michael Leesk has had a very quiet tournament with the bat but he is a powerful striker for Scotland well they've got to just keep building
13:24for Scotland well they've got to just keep building take this to the last two or three overs try and get somewhere in the region to 120 I think
13:32yeah was just going there with what gets them in the game what is it they will feel as a fighting score and they need to then bow well
13:40to defend to get 120 around 120 is 8 and over from here and whilst this partnership is going it looks possible
13:52and so how they do 8 and over all the way there is what's important because a wicket goes down then it starts again and it's tough to start on these pitches because it's slow
14:02well there's a clear sign of intentions well probably one area they can definitely try to target that short leg side boundary
14:16just 65 meters to the leg side boundary so that's an area both batters cross and lease can say right we've got a change bowler just after the drinks break let's try and cash in there is protection three men sweep the
14:31three men sweeping leg side
14:36bowling it's just sliding the angles from round the wicket with the left armour
14:41tell you we've seen a few people get hit in the toe in this tournament Martin Guptill's toe must be still sore from last night
14:47Harris Routh last night he bowled him an absolute cracker of a Yorker
14:52this is sliding down leg side cross seam
14:59they'll be hoping that this is stumps are disturbed as Martin Guptill's were last night
15:04beautiful shot
15:07yeah wonderfully played that least with a strike a good one for four
15:14right in the slot right in the slot right in the hitting arc for Michael Leak Michael Leak
15:21clears that front leg it's pretty easy in the end executions very good intent
15:26right from the outset after that drink spray very very good for Michael Leak
15:32it's the short side you were just saying it and there you go six runs Scotland
15:46previous ball went for four down the ground Michael Leak easily could have sat quiet
15:51and maybe nudged it he said no rotating couple of hits
15:56oh got him bowled him
16:00rolling back and is back with a bang
16:05just when you thought that they would cut loose they'd be able to get some sort of momentum
16:10Scotland not to be cross gone
16:19well it's all about the angle
16:21Freilich around the wicket left arm seam up
16:24all it's gonna do is angle back in cross gonna
16:27trying to go two square
16:29gotta bang it down the ground here in Abu Dhabi
16:31that's a massive wicket after a decent partnership was just forming Matthew Crosswell
16:38he played nice it was gonna go for 19 57 for five seconds behind it easier said than done
16:46it's all about angles keeping wicket should get a couple here good running
16:52wickets to fall well horror shot really George Munsey just chopping on which happens quite a bit of this venue
16:59that was a nice ball Colin McLeod expecting a little bit of swing back and just feather
17:04this was a big call took a long time Adrian Holstock
17:08umpire's call
17:10David Visa well that was plump Wallace absolutely stitched
17:20the last wicket to fall was Matt Cross who opened the batting tonight
17:25again looking to square here in Abu Dhabi and all parts of the UE you gotta try and hit straight
17:31pump up the shoes
17:34shot that is a wonderful shot
17:38least
17:40is played a couple
17:43second six that for him
17:46yeah clean as a whistle
17:49tactically very very smart
17:53gets a little shuffle down the pitch
17:55gets momentum into the shot
17:57not gonna allow the bowler just to bowl to him
17:59really good shot
18:01good striker the ball
18:03we've been waiting for this
18:05from Michael Lee school tournament
18:07he's stepping up when it really matters
18:14thinking to thinking to hurry hurry
18:29it's a good dive very good dive
18:32yes 77 meter that side so it is the bigger boundary
18:44least wants to straight away
18:47fit man fast in between the wickets
18:50and the importance of a dive once again we've seen it twice today a dive saving a batter
18:55you know maybe I need to keep doing the right things here not throw away that good start
19:1157 for 5 and now this partnership forming
19:16need to ensure that they just keep it together
19:20simple things
19:23just recalibrate start again
19:25and try and make sure
19:27you're winning each over
19:29Scotland a couple of evenings ago down a charge I had a tower time against the Afghan spinners and I thought about it yesterday
19:38lot of Scotland batters getting in the way of the ball getting pads in the way of the ball nine dismissals
19:43slug leg side it's a good shot it's right in the gap just takes a little plug
19:50excellent work in the deep
19:52excellent work in the deep
19:53yeah watching the game of Sharjah and I saw a lot of Scotland batters standing in front of the stumps
19:58so not not accessing the ball so standing maybe on middle stump middle and off some but when you're facing mystery spin or pitches that may be skidding on you're getting your front pad in the way of the ball
20:08gonna stay a little bit more leg side the ball
20:13give yourself a little bit of room so you can actually access offside brilliant shot top class body Chris screams that's a really really effective pump through the offside have a look at the footwork
20:25stays leg side starts on leg stump and give yourself more with this ball is leg stump
20:32outside leg you've got access to the ball because he's not getting that front pad in the way of the ball
20:37taking LB out of the equation giving himself a good chance to hit the ball with the bat especially when trying to hit down the ground
20:44oh yeah
20:51didn't you just tell him not to do that there
20:55shot
20:59that's well played
21:01gone for four
21:03well it's a game of angles
21:08Chris Greaves uses the angle perfectly
21:11Trumpleman around the wicket
21:14very similar ball to the one that Matt Cross got out to
21:17Cross was trying to hit his through point
21:19Greaves goes the other way
21:20get across my stumps and help it with that angle
21:23really smart
21:25you're both beautifully up front
21:36Trumpleman
21:383-4
21:39got it all started
21:40and really it was about trying to get the ball
21:42to the ball
21:43to the ball
21:44to the ball
21:45to the ball
21:46to the ball
21:47to the ball
21:48to the ball
21:49to the ball
21:50to the ball
21:51to the ball
21:52to the ball
21:53to the ball
21:54and to the ball
21:55to the ball
21:56to the ball
21:58to the ball
21:58to the ball
21:59Trumpleman
22:003-4
22:01got it all started
22:03and really it was about trying to stave them off
22:04for Scotland
22:05didn't let up help from Freilink as well as Visa
22:06had a wicket each as well
22:07that's why
22:08he's our hero
22:10it was brilliant
22:12nothing like it
22:13start up with the winner
22:15it was brilliant
22:16nothing like it
22:17nothing like it starts up with the wicket he's trying to get started the team trying to get
22:22started and he's on from there first three overs normally you probably get a couple of overs
22:31but gave him an extra one correctly so
22:36here he is changing it up oh oh we're going up we're gonna check how close
22:48okay can you rock and roll it there good stretch as well at the end
22:56pakiya france into the attack
23:00it's not an easy time for him to come in and bowl he hasn't had a chance yet tonight
23:06he's been a little bit slower through the air at times
23:08he did come across interesting move here by animabian captain he hasn't had a lot of bowling in the
23:17tournament either
23:26oh big appeal
23:30maybe you're looking for that little spark of magic at this stage
23:34i don't look very interesting interested in going upstairs
23:44i agree with you natalie interesting time to bring pakiya france into the attack
23:48both these batters would prefer facing an off spinner at this stage in the game
23:54yours buck yours
23:55you'll be thinking of buying a wicket possibly well what a power play it was for namibia 22 for
24:024 scotland where they were asked to have a bat first but what a recovery they've gone at almost
24:08seven runs and over since then and lost just one wicket
24:11is that sweep shot which they've played pretty well right throughout the tournament and they're
24:17very happy with the sweep yeah lisk has been very good through this middle period giving scotland a chance
24:27to get up to that 124 plus which is what they're on course for right now they certainly want more than that
24:37big sweep again and it's worked well
24:41that's what scotland need they need a little bit of movement in these last few overs accelerate
24:48michael lease won't mind the introduction of offspin gets onto that one knee
24:55accesses that area behind short fine leg helps it on its way another convincing stroke from him
25:04played beautifully this evening race to 42 just 25 balls and given the stage
25:10when he came in 18 for four it's been a it's been a great knock
25:15yeah four fours and two sixes they're on target at the moment with their overs namibia
25:20they've been throughout the tournament
25:26very effective over it is for scotland there's a big space on the leg side for the two and they take it
25:33very effective over it is for scotland there's a big boundary in play it's much bigger and much longer
25:42on that offside
25:43it has indeed been another great recovery from scotland we saw that in muscat in oman
25:52against bangladesh 53 for six they were in that game
25:55they scraped their way to in the end a match winning total and again it's been michael or chris
26:04grieve sorry and michael leask
26:05you've digging them out of trouble partnership form nicely and they've given themselves a nice
26:15platform here going into the last four overs interesting field catches on the offside behind
26:21the stumps got him he's gone such a long way across and with smith coming around the wicket it was a
26:29dangerous game to play just when namibia want the wicket the family's happy as they should be they've
26:36had a lot to smile about right throughout this tournament tough for scotland towards the end what
26:43in innings he goes for 44. michael leask again targeting that shorter boundary this time gets too
26:53far across smith is up to the challenge again finds his length it's the key wicket here michael leask
27:03was looking very very dangerous sounded good that's traveling fast as well nicely done nicole
27:13lofty eaton is a very good fielder he's very athletic he moves quickly
27:21it's an area chris grieves loves gives himself room to access that offside after 63.
27:28a little bit of innovation trying something a bit different this has been so good with
27:38his change of pace that it's not easy to read him
27:43have a look at that a lot of movement that's what scotland does pretty well though they do
27:47like to move around in the crease wow he's gone a long way across
27:52he left that there would have been a wide by quite some margin
27:59tripping it in the air straight towards erasmus
28:03and that's just what namibia would have wanted at this stage and again friling in amongst the wickets
28:10he's been crucial for namibia in terms of picking up scalps mark what goes for three
28:16scotland 99 for seven in the deep
28:38bowling it into the pitch again
28:42have assessed this these conditions so well and this is the value of having played here
28:49do have the 100 now in the 19th over
28:55to the pitch again that's very difficult to hit on this wicket
28:59it's good again from friling 19 overs gone 102 for seven what work to do
29:08they've still got work to do and there's going to be a run out at the end
29:11so there will be eight wickets down
29:14it'll finish off with a run out
29:18trumpelman has been absolutely fantastic tonight
29:22scotland make 109 for eight in their 20 overs possibly under par
29:30sometimes lose the plot
29:34see if they can get as much swing as namibia got earlier in the evening really so
29:42slightly different bowlers wheel tries to hit the deck a little bit but
29:47don't go searching for them just do your skills top of off stump
29:55often it's an attitude isn't it
29:59you've got to try and impose themselves early
30:07yeah i wonder if they look nervous i was just trying to figure out if it was a
30:11a few nerves i think nerves in in anticipation in anticipation of what they could do
30:23little bit little bit of shape pitched up that time
30:29off the pad
30:32yeah it's going against you it goes against you there's nothing really wrong with that delivery the
30:36first ball didn't swing so he pitched it up and this one did just shake back in
30:44so he's got something to play with wheel think of trumpelman's first over
30:49there is a sweeper out there and they hurry back for two good running
31:04comment you just made about swinging and cross seam takes us back to our era pommy if you remember
31:09with white balls back then that they were doing so much they were swinging around the opening bowlers
31:15couldn't control them and the likes of alan donald or whoever had to try and go cross seam because
31:20they couldn't control the swing now the game has changed or the balls have changed these swing for
31:26two overs and they just swing a bit they don't hoop a lot
31:29they're back for a second good running
31:45they just like to get themselves started
31:48that may be up and lingon five from seven run a ball partnership
32:03boundary would be nice that's what they'll feel boundary just get it away and get going on that cow
32:08interesting one van lingon isn't he hasn't opened he hasn't batted
32:21still no boundaries
32:25here's knobby well david avisa highly experienced bowling in the uae uses variations absolutely perfect
32:32mainly goes to the off cutter when he bowls a slower ball it's generally short or back of a length and
32:37very very straight especially to the right hand about to have a look at his where he's delivering
32:42the ball very short balls will be the slow ball stock ball tends to go fuller very rarely goes into
32:48that yorker zone generally bolts back of length from a batter's point of view you've got to set
32:52yourself up for hitting the slower ball
33:01scott can definitely learn from how david visa went about that's one of the beauties of bowling second
33:06learning from the surface and david visa well he extracted everything out of this surface from
33:11scotland's point of view it's probably not their skill set they tend to pitch the ball up a little
33:16bit more and look for a little bit of shape but they're going to have to revert to maybe plan b and
33:20plan c fairly fairly shortly fall back of a length into the surface especially when you're bowling to
33:25that long 77 meter boundary
33:37yeah van ling and just feeling the pressure there a little bit going after one he's played pretty
33:42well but he's found the fielders he's got to give himself a couple more deliveries been given a role
33:47just there what we've been speaking about visa just hard length that's what england did earlier today
33:56ball back of a length nothing pitched up at all visa pace off
34:01nobody out there one bounce and four and that breaks the shackles finally a boundary
34:16i think he's playing all right van ling and he's just finding the fielders obviously here he hasn't
34:21there's sometimes you need to fret because you can't find the middle of the bat and it's a struggle
34:26i don't think he needs to fret i think he's lined him up pretty well and he could go four four four
34:34here quite easily
34:48there's the second of them that's a good strike as well
34:51great example know your game know when it's a real battle and a struggle and then you have to do
34:59something silly and know when actually you're playing pretty well but it hasn't quite gone your
35:05way and just give yourself a chance and you'll be off again
35:10there's a different opening pit
35:21yeah they have complemented each other nicely tonight williams the other half he's a man who likes playing
35:30against scotland 50 in the last t20 international against them and 80 in the warm-up game leading into
35:36this tournament so a man who likes playing against the scottish attack there is zane green a bit harsh i
35:45felt being demoted down the order i thought he did a decent job against ireland and that and that must
35:52win game in sharjah
35:55top edge flying away will this be the first success for scotland excellent by sharif berrington takes a nice
36:03catch making sure on this occasion not letting the opportunity pass them by
36:12the linen promoted up the order he makes 18 in the end
36:21just when fun linging started to look dangerous again it's the slower ball bouncer into the middle of
36:28the wicket this finds that leading edge and richie berrington underneath that one makes no mistake
36:38and lingen goes for 18 namibia 28 for one
36:45it's very nicely played great touch
36:50brilliant by namibia looking for the boundaries they haven't had too many of them
36:54excellent
36:59intelligent stuff here from green uses the pace of chris greaves
37:02gets across off stump and just works it
37:06ramping it over the keeper almost
37:12it's well bold is it sneaking down the umpires not very interested a little look around
37:20so the googly from Chris Greaves possibly bats on that one although it was signaled
37:29leg by mine as well just sliding down left side gotta be careful of the sweep shots against Mark
37:41what umpire Adrian hold stock says not out now again another long discussion for Scotland
37:49keep it going please keep it going yeah flat line when the ball is next to the bat keep it going to
37:55the pads please thank you no bat involved ball tracking when ready
38:00Adrian is outside leg thank you I'll go back to Adrian on field Adrian you can stay with your
38:09decision you're on screen now you can signal not out Adrian also getting it right pitched outside
38:15in quite a way in the end might have hit the stumps but once it pitches outside the leg
38:22stump cannot be out so now six runs and over for Namibia he does go very wide of the crease doesn't
38:31need what uses the crease laterally watch out for the 23 yard delivery as well keeps the batsman honest
38:43some power in the shot a little bit of bottom hand finding the gap now I think they might be a little
38:56look at that one just to make sure put on 109 so all of these runs is so important it's an excellent effort
39:07it'll lift the other fielders as well you may want to tempt him in to going across the line out to the
39:15the leg side straight down the ground brilliant from Williams he isn't attacking better and he brings up
39:25the 50 54 1 8 of 17 wants to take the attack to mark what great use of the feet the feet getting the pitch
39:35the ball it's a pure swing also using his feet but he hasn't got hold of this one and a nice catch in
39:46the end it wasn't that easy into the lights as well he's been good on the boundary has Muncie and that's
39:55two wickets down Scotland in the game they are fighting Green goes for nine it's a very welcome
40:06wicket for Scotland another googly from Chris Greaves and see what Zane Green was trying to do perhaps hit
40:12wide of George Muncie in the deep Muncie difficult as that is under lights here in Abu Dhabi takes a great
40:21catch on the move Scotland needed that gets them back into the game Zane Green goes for nine Namibia 50
40:30for two just two off it so far oh it was gonna stay at two fumble allows allows for two yeah good steal
40:4560 for two and you could run into trouble teams gonna think differently going forwards home because
40:59we speak about charger and we've illustrated how power play has been important any team which wins
41:06the power play more times than not they end up winning the game is that how teams are gonna see
41:12that's a beauty of a delivery Adam reaching at it couldn't get to the pitch and the turn finish him off
41:22Scotland making a fist to this Erasmus gone extremely happy with what he has done here Michael Lee's nice
41:39curve to it trying to play an expansive shot just trying to figure out what that shot was going to be
41:46and you can see and you can see the joy they need wickets and they're trying to make a match of it
41:52over here Scotland Erasmus goes for four it's 61 for three just three balls oh dear
42:02and the door is going you're setting off for the run
42:09yeah in answer to your question about how teams approaches I think teams already are aware of the
42:17importance of the power play some can execute their game plan then
42:21and some are tentative in the way they go about things and then run into trouble put themselves in
42:34trouble by not doing enough in that power play whether chasing or setting and that's a fair comment
42:42when you look at the power play score I was eight and sixteen should be should be gone easily he ran down
42:51too early and Mark Ward fired one outside the offstand the previous delivery thinking that's about soon
42:56was going to come down the track this time the angle was down the leg smart piece of stumping
43:05and he goes for 23
43:13it's just the third stumping in this tournament
43:16yeah nicely taken unsighted for some time and just waited
43:25good bowling oh it's all very nervous stuff this
43:34this is not just gonna be a waltz to the target that's a fight
43:41was really prodigious in movement that's a shot that's a shot that's a shot that's gonna
43:50ease some nerves ease some tension
43:55four runs
44:02yeah pace on and with both on offer
44:05jj smith all he had to do was just put back to ball that was the kind of width on offer there
44:15surprised that they turned to seam when the spinners are doing well and we've just talked about the spinners
44:24yeah and and that pace is on you know you think they turn a spin they turn to seam and
44:33seamer runs up and he hits back of a length with cutters and says right have a go at this
44:44he'll be happy with all that if there's pace on and you're trying to bang the middle of the pitch
44:49on one that's quite slow well it'll sit up nicely from this visa and he'll play these pool shots
44:56yeah it's it's a shot which he enjoys often highlighted how good he's on the short pitch delivery
45:04again on a track like this
45:07when the ball has been coming at a decent bounce or decent height i think it's it's not the right ball to go to
45:14yeah just missing a trick here yeah change of the pace there but he's the man
45:28david visa he's the wicket they want took them home with a good half century
45:36tight game tight situation where it looked like it might
45:48get out of the grasp and he managed to sort it out leg side pulling likes that
45:57yeah i think barrington needs to either ask sharif to pull slower ones and use the pitch
46:08or he's got to go back to his spin i think it's a bit too late now when you look at that nine runs
46:16in a game where you needed 35 of 36 when the spinners were doing so well
46:20uh maybe it's turned it has turned towards namibia better late than never mate he's got to try something
46:35greaves got one watts got one
46:41lease
46:50hope hope that's what that is
47:12oh lucky lucky bowler on the pads fine leg up and it's just one it's 85 for four
47:21reeves into his last over drag down
47:28another bit of spin
47:30mark watt ball three bottom nice got whipped out of the attack was a big call by the captain berrington
47:39oh full toss that's a big hit out there has he hit it all the way you bet he has that is a massive hit
47:46biggest part of this ground
47:50but all the chat has been about david visa but jj smith t20 striker at over 150 this guy when he hits it
47:58they stay hit wonderful long extensions tall man strong man really good connection
48:05smart batting you may even think about two there because it's such a
48:18big space that's perfect placement very good batting
48:23it's a very simple template namibia have they like to chase
48:32no matter what the surface is erasmus he likes to chase they've got a very disciplined bowling attack
48:38no superstars with the ball no express pace no mystery but very disciplined what they do and they chase
48:43they take the game deep because they know they've got power with smith and visa at the back end
48:47will they use that power mid on up mid wicket up there's so many options in that direction oh happy just
49:00milking and taking the runs of what this is good captaincy
49:03how brave can you be richie berrington armband for this evening of course
49:11six inside the ring must be tempting jj smith it's only a chip over the inner ring
49:19now slip comes in
49:28you would add a dip here in us wouldn't you if i had that option in my locker yeah i'd have had the dip
49:35i'd be looking for red ink to be honest but there is the option of the big shot
49:40and they look like they're just going to see what off they see what as the major threat
49:45this is excellent captaincy it really is far too often you see captains just let the game drift
49:52plenty of singles he's asking questions of smith
49:56are you going to be sensible are you going to have a go
50:06oh my god what an over brilliant captaincy it is one for 22 again
50:11up and over mid off go straight goes for six he's been waiting and waiting and waiting brilliant from visa
50:25a little nerve settler
50:30straight down there in the ground that's where he loves going so many maximums in his career and this
50:36tournament as well does come again he's edged it he's gone excellent bowling from round the wicket
50:44the angle going across they need wickets they continue to get wickets
50:50huge moment gives scotland a lifeline david visa he's got to go play well for a 16.
50:56a good bowling michael is pump for six previous ball it's a good catch it looks like a fairly simple
51:07catch for greasy ball pressure situation david visa can't believe it once in the finish with the
51:13flourish well he's gone played nicely once again gone for 16 102 for five save the single somewhere
51:21back up don't save the single so smith will get back on strike
51:30well they'll all be watching in the wanderers club in vindhook
51:36wonderful cricketing establishment very proud of the cricketing culture there it's a great place to
51:42talk very passionate about the game
51:48yeah it's been an incredible story that is for certain with this namibia side and they are one
51:53hit away from adding to that story
51:55that will go away even with the dew they won't catch up with that that will go away for four
52:14just two needed now
52:21brad wheel going full looking for the yorker it's a change up it's right in the slot must be said
52:28gets it wrong and jj smith says thank you very much you're nearly there you are nearly there namibia
52:35does he get it through no just a single scores a level
52:45jj smith was there at the winning moment against the netherlands on this venue
52:53a good player for a number of seasons a little years for namibia
52:57ball well this evening good striker but he's showing a good composed head on his shoulders tonight
53:05and they all come in now
53:16full toss straight to mid wicket straight to mid wicket would you believe it
53:21had the opportunity to belt it anywhere the fans were ready to celebrate
53:27and they're just gonna have to wait that little bit longer
53:30well yeah charlie cannot believe it he's gonna have to go plinks it straight to mid wicket gone for
53:36two
53:37well an absolute full bunger hit it into the stands jan freiling
53:45plinks it easy as you like simple catch oh the talented namibian all around they just cannot
53:52believe it the fans can't believe it they thought that was it
53:56friday you gotta go couldn't quite get the job done gone for two hundred and nine for six
54:01so who's gonna bowl the main and sharif needs to bowl the main here to get a tie
54:08up and over and will it go all the way it does
54:22what a way to win your first ever super 12 game what a story it is for namibia
54:31three wins on the bounce erasmus and his boys continue to party in the uae
54:38this was the game they would have had down as points this is the game they've picked up points
54:45and the wonderful story that is namibia can cricket continues
54:51brilliant with the ball outstanding in the field they wobbled for a while with the bat
54:56but in the end smith just smashed it for six and they got over the line
55:01so group two scotland against namibia there is the summary of the match 109 for eight scotland
55:11leafs played nicely 44 and 27 trumperman ball brilliantly three for 17 in his four namibia chased
55:19it down with smith 32 not out and namibia win by four wickets scotland still at the bottom played two
55:28lost to pakistan at the top played two one two and in between them namibia first game in super 12
