06:50Whilst Gio puts the finishing touches to Oti's day, the escapers are heading 12 miles
06:55north to the Moorish 12th century castle at Padern, the perfect place for her first
07:01surprise.
07:02A bit of sightseeing.
07:03This is one of the castles that is actually on the flag of Portugal.
07:08So I thought that we just come here and we just admire some of the history and the
07:13culture that comes with being in Portugal.

09:26This morning was so much fun. I mean, look at me. I'm grey and brown and dirty, but you've
09:42got the biggest smile on my face. I really think that this morning I give them a little
09:47bit of a taste of me. I loved it.

09:56That was 10 out of 10. I would give that a solid 10 out of 10.

10:02And I think that the fact that this is only her first activity out of three, God knows
10:06what the rest of the day has. I mean, we were exhausted. We're ready for an afternoon
10:10nap.
10:12Fresh from her victory, OT's taking the boys for lunch in the sleepy village of Alta, famous
10:18for its natural springs.
10:20I tell you what, we will not be able to beat that.
10:23Excitement and enthusiasm and fun. It was fun. I was great.
10:27But you get very competitive as well. Where do you think you get it from?
10:31When I was a kid, I was always into sport. Then I got into boxing. Bingo.
10:36I knew right away, this is going to be something I could be really good at. You know, wanting
10:41to be successful and wanting to be the best at something, like I suppose you did in your
10:46dancing.
10:47Yeah, dancing.
10:48You have the sort of drive that would have made you the very best.
10:51Yeah, yeah.
10:52It feels good when you work hard and you achieve something. I believe that part of me comes
10:57from my parents, really, because my dad, of course, we grew up in South Africa and it
11:02was really tough. And being a lawyer, seeing him wake up every morning, really work hard,
11:07and also defend people, but then come back home and then continue working. And that became
11:12the culture of the family. My dad was like, if I'm working hard, you guys have to work hard
11:17as well, because I'm not always going to be around.
11:19Yeah.
11:20And my mom was always about the sports. I started doing national competitions when I was
11:24seven, eight years old. So I was really young. And every single sport that we did, my mom
11:30was like, if you're going to use your time, you've got to be the best. And you've got to work.
11:35Isn't that interesting?
11:36And you really have to push. When you're a dancer, like your body is your job. And it's
11:42really difficult because we have to retire so young.
11:46Yeah.

12:35three stars from i'm a celebrity get me out of here are in the algarve competing to deliver
12:46the best holiday adventure and be crowned the champion great escaper today oti mabusi is in
12:53charge and she's planned an activity for dean mcculloch and barry mcguigan she hopes will give
12:58her the edge in the competition my activities describe exactly who i am very adventurous but
13:04then the dance the dancers is quite important i think they'll ease into it and they'll definitely
13:09enjoy it and they'll be like yeah this is this is more of what we thought you'd do on holiday
13:15oh here we go
13:17this is a folk group who actually do traditional dancing that is like known from the area okay and we
13:36are gonna get involved yes barry yes we're gonna do something come on come on i really truly believe
13:46that when you go out and see other people's styles of dance that's them sharing their history with you
13:54dating back to the 19th century coradino is a lively couples dance born legend has it when a spanish man
14:01tried to win the heart of a local woman with his nifty footwork i've never ever in my life done this
14:07style of okay i don't i don't care you can pick it up like that yes i've already picked it up but
14:12done congratulations are you ready to learn oh yes i'm completely out of my comfort zone and you know
14:29that it is it is not me i think he thought we were just coming to observe the dance but when the dance
14:36teacher turned around and said no it's your turn i could feel barry quivering you're gonna put this
14:43arm yeah like this okay here yeah okay now we're gonna go middle steps like this now you're gonna run
14:51go faster yeah let's go faster faster faster oh my god oh my god oh my god that's good we went so fast

15:12i'm feeling very excited i love trying something new when i come on holiday and i would never get the
15:17chance to do this otherwise but it is very very fast and their kids are like five and they're doing it
15:21really well is anyone else nervous yeah yes can we start yes let's go

15:40what a way to end the day i don't know how she's managed this barry and i don't

16:24wow i love the dancing and they were all just beautiful people the whole lot of them but it
16:30was great fun and they were very patient teachers so yeah an eventful day and i genuinely really
16:37enjoyed it the dancing was amazing when you see the little kids and they love it so much and then you
16:42see how they're guided by the older generation and you can see how community is supposed to work took me
16:48back home to south africa i love the fact that they still do this and it feels really like a community
16:55and the reason why i started dancing in south africa we had that apartheid era there were no places where
17:02little black kids could dance and so my mom formed her own dance school we were safe we had ambition
17:10in that room we were focused and we were doing something useful for our future and that tonight
17:16reminded me of why you know i love dance and i stayed in it it's just that community yeah well i
17:23found out more about ot today stuff we didn't find out in the jungle so she grew up in a very
17:28difficult time great mom very competitive great teacher patient getting to hear her talk about her
17:35family and what led her to where she is today was really really special she has determination and
17:44ambition but she has such a big heart i really hope my day was successful i definitely think barry and
17:50dean enjoyed it and then at the end big smiles all around barry yeah good luck tomorrow thank you

18:11today it's barry's chance to shine and he's confident that his day has all the winning
18:16ingredients i think i've got a a wonderful day planned i don't think it i know it for me i want
18:22to give ot and dean some escapism the thing i like doing most of all is relaxing and enjoying just
18:29quiet time and it'll be interesting to see uh what they're like when they chill out there's a slight
18:35air of trepidation because i don't know what's happening and there's something telling me that barry
18:41doesn't know what's happening either he's a bit unorganized i would say but all day yesterday he thought
18:48we were in spain we had to remind barry last night at the portuguese smoke dance that we were in
18:55portugal it's not looking good i got a bit of sick from ot about burning the rice and beans when i was
19:07in the jungle okay so i would love to cook them something nice somewhere beautiful i'd like to be
19:14out on the sea we can work a lot with that so what about a luxury boat you can go on you can cook them
19:21a meal there's a little market near where the boat's going to be you can shop around barry each morning
19:26tries to coax me to go to the gym with him he thinks it's a lovely time but it's just not my idea of a
19:32very nice day are you i'd love to do something physically demanding yeah i like all that sort of
19:39stuff so what do you recommend cool i think kayaking with tick the box what do you perfect and if you're
19:46having fun you don't feel like you're working out exactly yeah i think we've got something very
19:50special planned it's both exciting and beautiful and very much looking forward to seeing what what
19:57odian dean think about it barry's first activity is just east of the popular resort town of alba
20:04it's meant to be a chilled out treat but like everything barry does it involves a bit of a
20:09workout look at this we're here at this spectacular looking beach and i'm going to bring them kayaking
20:17and we're going to go around the cove and it's going to be tough but it's going to be beautiful
20:22where are we going we are going to poodle along the coast and look at the spectacular views the
20:27thing about professional boxing is it's a game of dropping weights and watching what you have to
20:32eat and after years and years of that i've always kept myself in shape and i i love kayaking it's a
20:38really good workout so i hope they enjoy it i know i will i hope they will too we don't try and race or
20:44anything it's just it's just a bit of fun why don't i believe that he didn't get to overtake it yesterday
20:49so this might be ding ding run two no it's not ding ding run two we just want you to be safe and
20:54enjoy it that'll be fine as long as we overtake you that'll be absolutely fine if you overtake me you've
20:58had it this too the orange one and the yellow one are your kayaks great like the portugal flag uh it
21:05needs the the green oh is the green on the flag yeah it's green yellow red oh is that not the portugal

21:19romania this activity is a hundred percent barry's type on paper it's active you're breaking a sweat

23:22mates oti mabusi and dean mcculloch kayaking in an attempt to win the title of greatest escaper
23:28it's barry's idea of the perfect day out his friends hmm not so much how do you go in a straight line barry
23:36i just do this oti can you do what i do yeah so we can get a wee bit of movement i'm doing it

23:48my arms are burning i was hot in the sun and then i thought you've got this

25:15thanks good fun thanks it was really inspiring to see you literally still going giving it yeah all the
25:21guests you had and i can't believe you still have it that's amazing when you're a fighter it's with
25:26you to the day you die the day when i stopped boxing it was a hard thing to come to terms with
25:31but was it like a loss yeah fierce loss the effort that i put in and the pain that i suffered to get
25:37into shape yeah was like incredible for you when you had those low moments those tough moments yeah
25:43what were they and how did you get over them losing my title in vegas just over a year after i'd
25:48won the title and i fought 15 rounds so yeah i fought 15 rounds yeah and i was knocked down in
25:55in the 15th round from sheer exhaustion it wasn't i wasn't hard i was simply unable to hold my hands
26:01up wow and uh get out of the way so i said right that's that that's that part of my life is finished
26:06now so i was only champion for a year and i never regained the title which was disappointing but you
26:12have to change and refocus that's the way i've lived my life i've always been competitive i've always
26:19wanted to to do well at whatever i done barry really opened up about how hard he pushed himself
26:26physically and mentally throughout his career to get to the success that he has it was also really
26:31nice to hear barry talking about grieving the loss of his career and something i hadn't really thought
26:37of before so the fact that he shared that with us and was honest instead that it was really difficult
26:42was brave of him yeah and letting go the kayaks were challenging whereas now we have a very relaxed
26:54evening we're going to be taking them out on a lovely boat they're going to have delicious food with a
27:00spectacular panoramic view of the coastline i'm here today to buy some fish and i'm going to do the
27:06cooking the saving didn't you make us eat burnt rice and burnt beans i did that many times oh boy
27:15at home i'm lazy so my wife cooks for me so it's the first time i've got a question for you yeah
27:20have you ever cooked fish before yes i have it's going to be fabulous yeah some good fish
27:25red fish here can i hold it those are some eyes oh wow it slipped out of my hand i'm sorry oh give
27:38him a clean yeah okay give him a wash i'm so sorry nobody good nobody good what what is this
27:45gal negro it's like a chicken this is gallo is like a rooster gallo negro would be the one yeah okay
27:50absolutely can you fill it this first yeah well that would be great i think they'll be apprehensive
27:55about my cooking no doubt about it but um and i would be a bit nervous about it because i know
28:00that they were given out about the burnt beans and rice so i want to do a better job today i'm scared
28:06because he said sandra does everything for me his wife so now i'm like oh she's not here
28:14maybe in the jungle he just thought i'm not going to tell everyone that i'm a really good cook
28:17otherwise they're going to make me the camp chef yeah it's all going to come out today wow we don't
28:22want to eat the fish eye because that's quite triggering for us yeah you want me to take them
28:25out no no no leave them leave them in i had to eat them i had like 14 yes i remember now oh you're
28:35oh the penny's dropped has it barry's hoping his last surprise will distract ot and dean from his
28:43terrible cooking skills by serving them dinner on a luxury catamaran oh look at this no way you cannot
28:52say i haven't treated you are we going on this boat yes sir no we are going out to sea now let's get
28:59out of here yeah let's go all i imagine myself is just being like oh you're like a bond girl
29:14i love it this is so beautiful i didn't expect this from barry no go on
29:21oh that was so underwhelming i mean he's slaving away in the kitchen right now yes so we are hopeful
29:31that this isn't going to turn out like a bush trigger trial oh yeah so when was the last time
29:36you cooked a meal well not not long back a couple of weeks and what was it baked potatoes
29:47and beans and grated cheese oh for the love of god did you put it in the microwave of course i did
29:57barry's meal of boiled potatoes and fried fish is finally ready to be served
30:02a big step up from burnt rice and beans right guys here we are this is giving me flashbacks do you

30:14sandra your wife would be very proud of this dish well thank you dean and in fact i think when she
30:19watches this she's going to make you do more cooking exactly that's the problem so how did you and
30:24sandra meet well we couldn't not meet because we lived across the road from one another so we grew up
30:30with each other basically and how long have you been married this is our 44th year wow long time
30:37i i gave sandy a ring when i was five years old when you were five five years old i gave her a wedding
30:42ring she kept it oh my word so there you are i'm still madly in love with her and i hope she's still
30:47madly in love with me it's amazing very has done well the beginning of the day was hell i hated it
30:55but this the food everything else i absolutely loved barry this has been such a great meal such a
31:02great day actually thank you i didn't expect barry to want to do stuff like this on holiday and to
31:09share a sunset with us and it seems almost sentimental what a perfect way to end an amazing
31:15day from barry the food was great the crack was great the chats were great it was brilliant this has
31:21been one hell of a day to finish off out in our catamaran i think it's going to be it's going to
31:27be a tough task to measure up to dean is the last to plan his day and if he wants to win he's got a

32:04been to a spa in the jungle he was constantly brushing his hair and then his mom gifted him skin
32:09care for his skin so he's quite a luxurious person that might have something to do with it maybe we'll go
32:16shopping maybe we'll go shopping my worst nightmare so i love when i go away to be in amongst the trees
32:24or on the beach so have you heard of razor clam fishing no tell me about it okay i used to do this
32:30actually back when i was a little boy it's actually really therapeutic as well is it yeah do you think
32:35what he does on holiday that is something that you would typically do on holiday no so he's got his work
32:41cut out and his work cut out i think i'm gonna have to lump it we've not been able to let our
32:46hair down together much since we left the jungle yeah so i think to end the trip on a high i need to
32:53take barry and odie down the strip love it odie's strength is dancing barry's strength is boxing my
33:00strength is taking holidays from work so i think i've got this
33:05where does it look like we are ot it looks like we are in literally the middle of nowhere
33:13they're actually heading towards the spanish border and the castro marim nature reserve
33:19where dean's planning to win over ot and barry with a relaxing spa day we're here at a salt spa and there
33:25is wellness in the air because we've had quite a busy few days and it's time to just kick back relax and
33:33float in the salty water look at this wow today we're going to be pampered we're going to be
33:40preened that's great barry you're about to get a glow up and you're going to come out of here
33:44like a shiny two-pence piece i don't need to be any more shiny look at my head we need to cover

33:56part where i wish i had have gone to the gym barry they used to have rock hard abdominals now

35:26after two hectic days in the algarve dean's hoping to find the winning formula by giving his old jungle
35:32mates oti and barry a very different day out he's brought them to a salt spa for his favorite
35:37activity relaxing
35:39can i let you both into a secret go on so i've kept my jungle outfit
35:46in a bag in my bedroom and i've still not washed it
35:51yes i can't bring myself to put it in the machine every time i'm missing yours i just go and sniff the
35:58clothes and that pungent smell of cockroaches and fish guts reminds me of you too you're welcome
36:06just the two of us only us two
36:08and now we bake
36:16do you remember those feelings that you felt when you left the jungle
36:22yeah i got out and i was on such a high and i really wish that that's where it ended
36:32because i'd been sent quite a few death threats i didn't know you had uh death threats i've never
36:38ever had that it was something like 35 35 yeah there was 35 i think it's classified now as
36:46aggravated malicious contact is the official term for it my agent said like there are threats to come
36:53to your work in the morning i was like for what for like saying i'm a celebrity get me out of here
37:00because i didn't want to be trapped in a box like what have i said what have i done and they said
37:04i don't think it's what you've done i think it's who you are yeah and then i realized oh yeah homophobia
37:12is still right and there's no getting away from that then i start going over the things in my head
37:18that i could have done differently but now you're dimming your own lights for other people to satisfy
37:24them and you know you can never make anyone happy i had the time of my life i don't regret a single
37:30thing even the screaming yeah i was a bit shocked to hear that dean had um death threats whoever
37:38threatened them sounds ridiculous to actually go out and threaten someone is just unacceptable
37:44i have to remember that as long as my mum is proud of me and my boyfriend is proud of me
37:49that's all that matters because i won't be able to keep everyone happy because if i was everyone's
37:54cup of tea i'd be a mug yeah and with this clay on us i think that could be happening pretty soon
38:07dean's love of mindfulness and nature is also the inspiration for his next activity
38:13when i'm on holiday i like to do things that you wouldn't normally get to do

38:27fished for clams barry no never done it before i've never been fishing and i've never been fishing for

38:52a much sought-after delicacy in the algarve razor clams are mollusks that love burrowing into sandy

39:05see so the razor clam inside doesn't like it yes it comes to the surface you grab it let's play a game
39:12okay who can collect the most razor clams in 10 minutes all right good right three two one go

39:51appreciated the fact that this is a mindful activity of relaxation are you in there all right please don't

41:14we're all feeling positively relaxed i mean i'm having a ball i loved it didn't get enough bites got two

41:27to do on my vacation you know i actually think that i was a fisherman in a past life is that right

41:41what it's the final night of the trip and i've got one more trick up my sleeve we have had
41:50the most relaxing day and now it's time to hit the infamous alba fear strip
41:56for our last activity i thought i would take you back to a place that i came to exactly 10 years ago
42:13because i came to the alba fear strip but i can't remember leaving oh god and look i'm five years sober
42:19this year and i thought that i would show you guys how you can still have fun in a night out
42:26in sobriety exactly barry what made you stop drinking alcoholism is in my family and there
42:35was one monday i was going to work on the way out i was stepping over bottles that were due to go down
42:40to the bin and there was a two liter bottle of vodka four bottles of wine and all these tins of gin
42:46and tonics never in my life did i ever think i would drink that much and i knew i had a problem
42:52and i said to my best mate i think i'm just going to stop drinking for a month and just see what
42:57happens and the one month turned into six months turned into a year having the courage to do that
43:04yeah takes an awful lot of effort so congratulations thank you i know you get it i know you get it
43:08me and i thought tonight is the night for us to let our hair down get our dancing shoes on oh and party
43:16cheers baby this is something new the cast for slack part two and this time we're gonna get
43:26we've met in the jungle but we never had a night out like a night to remember and that was something
43:32that always made me really sad and like now with you i don't know what i expected
43:40i spend my life in clubs djing and that is my new hearty medicine bring all your friends i'm djing
43:47in there in a bit it's exactly how i like to spend my nights out in holiday so the only thing i can
43:52remember about my night here was the buck and bronco 2015 dean wouldn't actually believe this
44:14making friends with oti and barry and coming back here to show them the chaos that i used to be
44:20it really has felt special it was great to see dean doing this thing he's really good at what he does
44:29and you could see how he gets the audience all worked up
44:35seeing dean in his natural habitat was i think just unforgettable he loves djing he loves clubbing and
44:44he's done this all so good shall we have a nightcap we have to have a nightcap what are we thinking

44:56ot barry and dean have each shared their perfect day out and now they must decide who will be crowned

45:28with your day but i loved learning about you barry i love it when you talk about how much you love your
45:32wife and we went on the catamaran and then you cooked and we didn't die of food poisoning
45:41and then dean the spa was fantastic the way you opened up about the jungle we hadn't realized what
45:49you were going through as a friend dino the night was incredible i've you know i've seen you in a whole
45:56new light this is the real dean mcculler i have to think what things i wish i would bring my family to do
46:02and so i'm gonna go with berry oh thank you thank you thank you very much oti of all the things those
46:10fast buggies that was the thing i really loved so dina i'm really sorry i'm gonna go for oti's day
46:17go on well done the power is in my hand wow it's going to be so hard to call this but my absolute
46:25highlight of this whole entire trip has to be the three of us on the front of that catamaran

46:40dean and barry definitely have surprised me i mean there were bits about dean that i didn't know that
46:46meant just getting to know who barry was and how he lights up when he talks about his wife we have
46:51experienced a once in a lifetime opportunity together living in the jungle so the fact that we've came here
46:57we've almost debriefed i'm actually a bit sad to be leaving this has been the best holiday that i
47:02have ever been on group hack to the greatest game oh yeah i'm absolutely thrilled to win this
47:10and of course the bottom line is i've learned so much more about dean and ot and they'll be my
47:15friends for the rest of my life when you win you have to buy the drinks at the bar but that's fine
