00:09What matters is that you turn from them, you learn from them, and you live for Him in the presence.

00:29Welcome, everyone, to another edition of Faith is Natural here on God's Heart TV.
00:38I recently had a conversation with two young men.
00:44These are different people coming from different backgrounds, different countries.
00:48In fact, they even spoke different languages.
00:51But there was a common theme in their stories.
00:55And while reflecting on those issues that were troubling their hearts,
01:03these reflections in the light of God's word gave birth to the message I want to share with you today,
01:13the word of encouragement.
01:15So let me just paint a little bit of the story for you.
01:20Both of these young men were brought up in Christian homes, godly homes.
01:25But along the line, in their teenage years, they rebelled.
01:30They went into an ungodly way of living, an immoral lifestyle, a carefree life.
01:41And let me emphasize something, people of God.
01:46That you live a carefree life does not mean a cost-free life.
01:56If you ignore your conscience, don't be surprised if consequences come that you cannot ignore.
02:10This is what happened in both of these young men's experiences.
02:18Consequences of that life they were living struck and it actually afflicted them physically.
02:28There was an effect in their physical health.
02:30Now, in both cases, that consequence led them to a place of repentance
02:39and to rededicate their lives to Christ Jesus.
02:44But here is the dilemma.
02:47Here was the issue troubling their hearts.
02:52They believed that because they had not yet seen a change in their physical condition,
03:01God had not truly forgiven them.
03:07And so the devil used the consequences of their sin to remind them of their past
03:20and define them by their past, keeping them in this cycle, vicious cycle of shame, despair, and condemnation.
03:39This is what I want to talk about today, people of God.
03:42Condemnation uses our present situation to remind us of our past in order to define us by our past.
03:59Condemnation speaks through our present problems to remind us of our sin in order to define us by our sin.
04:15This will assure me to the message today, titled The Lies of Condemnation.
04:28The devil is a liar.
04:31John 8 verse 44 says that lies are his native language.
04:40He is the father of lies.
04:43But when a lie is repeated so often in a vulnerable heart, it can be taken as the truth.
04:58Yes, people of God, condemnation is one of the most common weapons used by the devil.
05:28To cause believers to question their identity.
05:35And because no one is perfect, everyone is subject to these lies.
05:43Your sin is too big for mercy.
05:50Your sin is too big for mercy.
05:54Your past is too bad for grace.
05:59What you are facing today is a punishment from God or a banishment from God.
06:08Some chains just cannot be broken because they are now part of your identity.
06:18Condemnation labels your life with such lies to keep you reliving your past in the present.
06:41Condemnation labels your sin to your situation in a way that provides no solution and gives no hope for restoration.
06:56Condemnation, condemnation, condemnation, amplifies sin's gravity whilst denying God's mercy.
07:10Condemnation, condemnation, misinterprets correction unto salvation as rejection unto damnation.

07:52A simple yet life-changing message for you today

08:21On the platform of repentance
08:24Stop listening to the lie
08:31Condemnation is speaking to your life
08:34Stop accepting the label
08:38Condemnation has placed on your life
08:42Condemnation lies that your past sin
08:50Is too deep to simply be erased
08:55That God's mercy is not mighty enough
08:59To cleanse your hearts
09:03And set you free in just a moment
09:08That is a lie
09:10The truth, people of God
09:13Is that no matter how far you have gone
09:17There is always room for restoration
09:20No matter where you are coming from
09:25There is always space for amazing grace
09:31Not because of us
09:32Because of him
09:34Not because of what we've done
09:38Because of what he did on the cross
09:43That's the mystery
09:45And the beauty of the cross
09:47For as Romans 5 verse 8 says
09:51Whilst we were still sinners
09:56Christ died for us
09:58Divine forgiveness is given

10:05Not earned
10:07No amount of efforts
10:10Can earn forgiveness
10:13Or merit God's mercy
10:16There is no work you can do
10:19That could ever trump
10:20The work of the cross
10:22As I said
10:25Decades of hurts
10:28Can be erased
10:30In seconds of grace
10:34Look
10:36You don't have to feel forgiven
10:40To be forgiven
10:43It's not about a change
10:47In your natural condition
10:49It's about a change
10:50In your spiritual condition
10:53Forgiveness
10:55Deals with the spiritual consequences
10:58Of sin
10:59Not necessarily the natural consequences
11:03Let me emphasize something here
11:07Just as I said to those two young men
11:10There is nothing God cannot do
11:12There is no mountain he cannot move
11:15There is no sickness he cannot heal
11:17There is no situation he cannot turn around
11:20When we turn to him
11:22Yes of course God in his sovereignty
11:25God in his mercy
11:27When you turn to him
11:28Can turn around that natural situation
11:32But please people of God
11:35Don't see the evidence of God's forgiveness
11:39See the evidence of God's forgiveness
11:47As a change in your perspective
11:50You begin to see life clearly
11:54See yourself clearly
11:57The way God sees you
11:59Look you can be in pain
12:01Yet still see life clearly
12:04You can be surrounded by natural circumstances
12:09Yet see life clearly
12:13It's possible to be physically in prison
12:17Yet walk in spiritual freedom
12:21Whereas many today
12:24Live in what looks like freedom to them
12:29Whereas they are bound spiritually
12:33Look when you see life clearly
12:38You will know even the consequences of your sin
12:44Can be a tool
12:45God uses to bring transformation to your character
12:51And preparation for your future
