00:000-9 and then we've got Jake Cannon improving every time he goes out on the

00:04track as well he was a 45-4-0-8 so no no slight laps just over the the monster

00:10bridge and then just loop around the gate and then straight back into thing

00:12but the track generally okay the whoops have been fixed since their time

00:16practice just the one session on track this morning rather than a free practice

00:20at the time practice yesterday a kind of a hybrid sort of not quite the length of

00:25two sessions but slightly more than the one session that they got yesterday so

00:28no lap for them no lap no no no I noticed that yesterday but I was thinking did

00:32we miss that when other things were going on but Anthony Bourdain strange entrance

00:36though yeah over the bridge over the thing loop around and then straight across the

00:39front of the gate and then in okay but Anthony Bourdain second in the standings at

00:46the moment Jake Cannon there number three he is fifth on 17 points three points

00:50behind Joel Pietra the Yamaha rider 389 what a great couple of races he had

00:55yesterday Joel Pietra led one race ended up finishing third and that was in race two there's

01:00Saad Soleimani he arrives here at six overall in the classification with a fourth a 13th and a

01:05fifth but the 15 second board up here and we are up for our first race of the day SX2 race one all

01:11six races count three from yesterday three today in that Paris that Prince of Paris

01:16classification Kate's about to drop now over on the right hand side number four Luke Cloud on the

01:21the bud race in Kawasaki a little bit lethargic but it's Calvin von Vielle who leads the way on the

01:26number 11 he gets the Milwaukee hole shot but look at Luke Cloud nice and tight from fourth to second

01:31in the blink of an eye and he's already exactly where he needs to be Saad Soleimani holding a nice tight

01:35line through that second corner but where is Anthony Bourdain is that him in fifth position I think it is on

01:41that Honda Motor Blues SR machine we'll get him over the line here Cannon sorry Clout already to the lead at the start of the second lap

01:49so Clout, Fonvier, Joel Pietra, Cannon and Bourdain and Bourdain slides his way into third great move that but Pietra

01:58looking to bounce back and get around the outside up the inside of him maybe if he can doesn't quite work out for him though

02:04and for Clout just that inside if you get off relatively clean and can sneak around that inside

02:10he's been making that work all weekend long he's a great starter anyway but uh you know between his

02:16quick lap times and also just the savviness to be able to move around that inside he's put himself in

02:21good position and yes he's had a little bit of an edge in race two and race two over Bourdain but I would

02:25say the starts have really been the biggest factor because you're talking about marginal differences but

02:30Clout already has uh you know three second lead over Bourdain that's you're asking a lot to close

02:37that down in a short race yeah we have less than four minutes plus a lap to go into that so just to

02:42the right where these guys here that far rhythm section down the back into that left-hander see

02:47the spark come off the foot peg there of uh Bourdain uh Bourdain's Honda where he uh obviously

02:51tail take titanium onto maybe a little bit of hard dirt slash rock um if they got that on a slow-mo nothing

02:59fancy but uh anyway here is Luke Clown it's not the uh the Tiger King today no right though that's a

03:08neon going on but uh I mean Claude's a veteran at this point right this would be arguably the only

03:14race of the year I you know it's arguable that he'd be racing a 250 450 veteran battling for

03:19australian supercross championships was on the podium at stuttgart a week ago so he has a lot of

03:23experience yeah a lot of experience not necessarily in Paris but it all translates and I think you've

03:29seen that comes to a race for the first time has been running up front all weekend long and really

03:34outside of race one where he lost the lead it's been basically flawless well obviously uh if you are

03:39joining us for the first time this sx2 this 250 class is uh pretty much uh it's got two prongs to it

03:45it's part of the french supercross championship which Calvin Pompier there on the red plate number 11

03:50uh currently leads over michael hicks but it's also uh the prince of paris so there'll be two

03:55separate podiums at the end of the night for the sx2 guys one for the overall on the day and one for

04:01the overall prince of paris so uh but in terms of that prince of paris the best 250 rider in this

04:07paris supercross loop clout currently on four he will move to five as he uh looks to take a win

04:13bordon currently on five he will pick up a third place finish that'll put him on eight so

04:17there'll be a bit of breathing space there for clout but clout is not escaping the clutches of

04:22the two frenchmen well actually i would i'm more impressed with fanbiel like fredone's closing the

04:26gap a little bit but this is the closest he has been it's really been a one two kind of runaway

04:30after a couple laps in you wonder if it's a lot of it because track is brand new so like the the

04:35margins compress a little bit as far as just skill and everybody can kind of go the same speed but this

04:41is by far calvin's best race of the weekend minute and a half to go plus a lap in this five minute

04:47plus one lap two of these races they get at this distance before a nine minute plus a lap

04:51uh final race of the day and of the weekend which will determine the prince of paris but

04:58yeah luke clout looking like he's responding here

05:00fanvier can't escape the clutches of bordon bordon saw this a couple times yesterday uh apart from the

05:07first race where he hounded down luke clout made his way past and won by a second and a half in the

05:11end but that was the rocket the backside that the australian needed wasn't it and and what we saw in

05:16that first race yesterday when bordon followed and made the move sometimes easier well most of the time

05:23it's easier to follow than it is to lead and clout was probably caught in that am i doing everything

05:27okay right blah blah blah am i taking too much risk not enough risk and then of course when he found

05:33himself in second in race two he was able to do what bordon did to him follow him stalk his prey

05:38and uh obviously make the pass stick and that seemed to be the sort of uh the icing on the cake

05:42as bordon charges down the inside of fanvier takes second with uh about 30 seconds plus a lap to go

05:48and he's still very much in contention for this prince title and clout has changed one line and uh

05:55they're they're coming up to it he changed one line at the end of this next straightaway he'll go to

05:59the inside here and that was where he got passed in race one yesterday ever since then you'll see

06:04him up the inside he skips on skips off ever since he switched that he's really been in control since

06:08then so bordon's line is really quick there i just think he did a great job of identifying where he was

06:13passed he's made a change has never gone back and really his results have never looked back either

06:18look how choppy that uh right turn is at the end of the fmx jump there just you see the front end

06:23fighting there from luke clout slippery as well and slippery yeah day two moisture coming up through the

06:27ground yes it's a little bit flatter but the dirt kind of breathes differently inside here you got

06:32the roof is closed so uh just that moisture starting to come up all all the time yeah and you can tell

06:37like this race when you talk about 42 years of history you're going to get a little bit of everything

06:41i've raced this race and watched this race where it's hard packed slippery especially 80s and 90s

06:46really hard then you went into 2000s ruddy really treacherous soft and you just wonder if it's the

06:52precipitation levels coming in what is the difference but this is kind of a happy medium yes

06:57a little bit tricky but also there is traction two corners to go are they getting ready for the

07:02checkered flag yes they are the white flag is about to come in here and it's going to be luke clout who

07:06wins race one here day two three wins in a row now because he was second in race one yesterday back to

07:13back wins in the final two races he gets off to a winning start here will extend his lead at the top

07:18of this prince of paris uh competition there you go look five seven um because obviously bordon pulling

07:25back a point when he made that move on calvin from v a von v a is going to sit third on 13 pietra on 18

07:31and so uh yeah oh cannon so excited he's just going to celebrate right there not really trying to give

07:38knuckles to uh pietra there so jake cannon getting better as well so a good fifth place finish for

07:46him in this second in this first race of the day yeah cloud you know it's interesting he would never

07:53admit it but yes he won but he probably was also like man he was catching me there like he was he

08:00perdon was closing the gap down and maybe it doesn't matter for the overall in the end because cloud has put

08:05several race wins together now but uh that's been a trend change we've seen cloud be able to either

08:11hold leads or extend them that's the first time since race one yesterday that perdon looked a little bit quicker
