00:20amid backlash over the official U.S. Barbie account,
00:23commenting on memes that were seen as making light of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki,
00:29which is a central plot in Oppenheimer.
00:31One post featuring a mashup of the two lead actors from both movies in front of apocalyptic flames,
00:37drew the comment, it's going to be a summer to remember.
00:40Meanwhile, the account commented on another post showing Barbie with her hair in the shape of an atomic bomb mushroom cloud,
00:47writing, this Ken is a stylist.
00:49Warner Brothers Japan on Monday issued a statement calling the comments very regrettable,
00:53and saying that they lack consideration, adding,
00:55we take this situation very seriously and are requesting the U.S. headquarters to take appropriate measures.
01:02Later on Monday, Warner Brothers film group in the U.S. issued its own apology and said it would remove the offending tweets.
01:08Barbie is set for release in Japan on August 11th.
01:11Meanwhile, Oppenheimer has yet to be given a release date in Japan.
