00:21In a statement, he said three companies participated in the open tender process, and the decision was made to sell
00:28the land at RM101 million, 5.9% above the valuation.
00:33The statement followed a meeting with residents from the Puchong area, including 14 residents' associations and Kinrara Assemblyman Eng Se
00:43Han, who sought clarification over the land status.
00:46The sale of the land had drawn strong opposition from the residents, with Subang MP Wong Chen criticizing the Selangor
00:53government for failing to respond to multiple letters regarding the matter.
00:58Amiruddin said the land was not part of a permanent forest reserve as it was degazetted in 1926, and that
01:05the state government had never approved any development project on the site.
01:09He said residents had proposed preserving a hiking trail to the Air Hitam Forest Reserve, and the matter would be
01:17brought to the State Executive Council.
