00:00We are not enemies with UMNO or Barisan Nacional.
00:04This is what MIC president SA Vigneswaran said today, urging his fellow party leaders to refrain
00:09from issuing further statements on MIC's future in BN for fear of adding to tensions.
00:15Expressing his willingness to meet anytime to discuss MIC's future in BN with the coalition
00:20leadership, Vigneswaran noted that the party has been part of the coalition for over 60 years.
00:26Vigneswaran also said if the decision is made, it does not mean that MIC is threatening anyone,
00:32Sina Harian reported.
00:34His remarks come a day after MIC National Strategy Director C Sivaraj blamed UMNO for the collapse
00:41of BN's Indian support, saying the real cause was the decisions made by UMNO during its time in government.
00:48He said the collapse of MIC's Indian support was the direct consequence of decisions,
00:53policies and missteps by UMNO, which controlled the government and all major institutions.
