00:01MIC President Ezeh Vigneswaran expressed surprise over Pakistan National Chairman Ahmad Zahid

00:06Hamidi's claim that he met MIC leaders several times last week to discuss the party's future

00:14He said he did not know which leader Zahid referred to, stressing that any discussions

00:18must involve the top leadership.

00:20Vigneswaran told FMT the last time he met Zahid in his capacity as MIC president was

00:25about two years ago and only saw him again three months ago at a national unity meeting.

00:31He said he had not met Zahid to discuss MIC's position in BN amid talk that the party might

00:36leave to join Perikata Nacional.

00:39Vigneswaran said a planned meeting with Zahid last Thursday was postponed due to unforeseen

00:44circumstances.

00:45According to a Minguan Malaysia report, Zahid said he had met MIC and MCA leaders two to three

00:51times last week as questions linger over the party's future in BN.

00:56Vigneswaran also said MIC was not interested in government posts, despite Zahid's statement

01:02that BN would consider providing such positions after the next general election.
