2,000 more breakfast clubs planned for schools

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson visited St Anne'S Catholic Primary School in Reading, meeting local councillors, school children and teachers to announce free school breakfast club applications have opened.

00:00I'm here today at this amazing breakfast club to announce that next year we'll be introducing

00:112,000 more breakfast clubs across the country. That will make a really big difference for parents.

00:16So saving the money on the cost of living, which we know is still a pressure,

00:19but it also gives children a great start to their day, sets them up for learning,

00:22and is part of how we're making sure that we provide more support for families.
