00:09The Department for Education says 300,000 additional children will benefit from the programme in April, when more than 500 schools are expected to join.
00:20The Department says pupils already taking part are benefitting from healthy breakfasts and earlier starts to the school day, with evidence showing improvements in attendance, attainment and behaviour.
00:33Education Secretary Bridget Philipson said free breakfast clubs are revolutionising morning routines, becoming an essential part of modern day life for working families.
