00:04and that's Mike Norvell and the Florida State Seminoles.

00:17Coach, Mike Norvell at least steadied the waters.

00:19He has an opportunity to get this team back to a bowl game.

00:23That would be a positive entering week number 13.

00:27What are the thoughts around the victory last Saturday night

00:29in Tallahassee and big picture for Mike Norvell and the Seminoles

00:34the rest of the way?

00:35Well, they scored six straight times and coasted to victory,

00:39but the fans are very frustrated.

00:41I didn't sense it.

00:42I know the school does not want to make a change financially.

00:44They want to somehow pull it off.

00:47The fans are frustrated.

00:48Sometimes they like you to fire a coach early,

00:50so you don't have a chance to have a winning season.

00:52But anyway, he's got a chance to get them to a bowl game.

00:55I think that would be a key.

00:56But I do wonder, when I still hear all the frustration coming out of Tallahassee,

01:02if they were to lose next week to NC State and then lose to Florida,

01:06does that bring it up to the point where they feel like they've got to make a decision?

01:09Anyway, right now, won a good game, dominated against Virginia Tech,

01:14rushed for over 200 yards.

01:15They're still up and down and inconsistent, but he's very close to getting to a bowl.

01:21And if he can get one out of the next two, he'll get to a bowl.

01:24And that should quiet the people for a little bit.

01:27But you still got to beat Florida at Florida State to make people happy.

01:31And they finish up the season with that one.

01:34Let's not forget they had two wins last year.

01:36You get to six.

01:38That's a four-game progression.

01:40I know it's not what the fans in Tallahassee wanted because the perception is

01:45you go 13-0 three years ago in the regular season.

01:48There's no reason that you should have been 2-10 overall.

01:52But you really have to look at it objectively and say,

01:55okay, it is now a two- or a three-year fix.

01:58You can bring in the best head coach in year number one.

02:01Expecting to get this team back to 10 or 11 wins is unrealistic.

02:05So if Mike Norvell is going to turn around this program,

02:09it does start with at least a 6-6 overall record.

02:13And then you could turn your attention to 20-26 and beyond.

02:17Yeah, I think what's happened is the fans,

02:20when they look at the strength of the ACC

02:21and where Florida State has been in the past

02:24and the amount of money and commitment they've put into the program

02:27and into the salaries of the coaches,

02:30there were a lot of those people thinking that the turnaround

02:33should get you to eight or something like that.

02:35But the point is, the people that make the decision understand

02:38it might take two years.

02:40I think he's safe.

02:41I think he's got to be good.

02:43Go out there and get this win.

02:44And then I don't want to say you're playing with that.

02:47You're playing with the house money against Florida.

02:49But in a way, you kind of are

02:51because I think you've got a bowl game locked in.

02:54We'll see exactly what transpires.

02:56Can he get that transfer talent in there,

02:59especially if they finish seven and five?

03:01If they finish seven and five,

03:02you're going to have some potential playmakers to come in

03:05to maybe elevate them to a nine or a 10

03:08or an even 11-win season in 2026.

03:11But you have to keep that momentum rolling,

03:13and we'll see how it plays out the rest of the week.
