00:02Florida State starts fast this year.
00:04They knock off Alabama.
00:06They race out to a 3-0 overall record.
00:09They then lost three straight games in the conference.
00:12We said it in the pregame leading up to this weekend, Coach,
00:16that 17-and-a-half point road favorites in Palo Alto wouldn't be easy,
00:21but you had to take care of business.
00:23They didn't.
00:23They lost their quarterback, and they lost the game outright 20-13.
00:27Well, they lost that game before they lost the quarterback.
00:31I know they could have won it with him at the end,
00:33but their lack of performance, their lack of execution
00:37against probably the worst team or the team that's struggling the most
00:42in the conference that had to play their backup quarterback
00:45and their backup running back, they had a lot of their starters out,
00:49and they go out there and just stink it up, really,
00:52and lose a game that they knew they had to win.
00:54And so you lost a game that you said, you know what,
00:57there's one thing they can't afford to do is lose this game,
01:00and they lost that game.
01:02And now it's going to be a matter of can you keep your team together,
01:06can you rally the portal transfer guys, can you rally those people,
01:11because if you don't, this season has some bad possibilities.
01:15I do believe they can get this thing righted,
01:17but their quarterback's got to come back,
01:20and they've got to go back to scoring points.
01:21They couldn't score points with their starting quarterback in.
01:24And they couldn't run the football consistently.
01:28That was the strength of the offense during the first three games
01:31of the regular season.
01:32The school has come out after the loss and said they will reevaluate the program
01:37at the end of the year, which should give a vote of confidence
01:40to Mike Norvell and at least his staff to potentially ride out this wave
01:45and see if the Seminoles could get back to .500,
01:48and more importantly, a bold type of situation.
