The Kremlin expressed regret on Wednesday (November 19) over Poland’s decision to close Russia’s last operating consulate in Gdansk, calling the move a sign of “completely deteriorated” relations.
Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski announced the closure after an explosion on a railway line that Warsaw accuses Russian intelligence of orchestrating.
Russia has rejected the allegations and accused Poland of fueling “Russophobia.”
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said the decision showed Poland’s intent to reduce diplomatic ties to “zero,” adding there have been no new developments on Ukraine peace efforts since the Alaska talks.

00:00Relations with Poland have completely deteriorated.
00:20This degradation is probably a manifestation of the Polish authorities' desire to reduce
00:25to zero any possibility of consular or diplomatic relations there.
00:30One can only express regret here.
00:34And what is the reason for this?
00:36Well, you'd have to ask Warsaw. What is the reason for this?
00:41Well, it has nothing to do with common sense, I would say.
00:45Since we react to all manifestations of Russophobia and the desire to associate any problem exclusively
00:59with Russia, unfortunately, this desire is constant among members of the Polish leadership.
01:06Well, that's an obvious fact. Unfortunately, we can't do anything about it.
01:13As a rule, all these announcements, or rather, always these accusations, are completely unfounded
01:20actions and votes.
01:27No, so far in this case there are no innovations that we could report to you.
01:48There were discussions, there were discussions in Anchorage, in Anchorage. And in addition
02:04to what was discussed in Anchorage, there are no innovations yet.
02:11There were discussions.
02:13There were some comments, there were some comments left.
02:14There were comments that were asked to avoidance.
02:15We can't do anything, but it was behind us to say that it was the thing that we'd
02:18not actually adapt to be done.
02:19But we can't do anything to do with the situation.
02:21Today was a very nice question.
02:23It was a very nice question.
02:25Here's your reaction point.
02:26It's like you said that the message was obviously not left because it was closer,
02:29but I thought you said it was one thing.
02:31Now, so far as they're looking forward to your head,
02:33since it's a half-repanic mission,
02:35then you can't really help us out.
02:36I don't know.
