Russian President Vladimir Putin rejected media reports claiming Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had “fallen out of favour” following a recent exchange with U.S. Senator Marco Rubio, calling the rumours “nonsense.”
Putin also reiterated that Russia would immediately cease hostilities if Ukrainian forces withdraw from contested areas, but warned that if they do not, Moscow will “achieve its goals by military means.”
