00:00NFL fans rage as referees once again influence the outcome of a massive game with a bogus call.
00:08The Detroit Lions lost to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night football by a score of 16-9,
00:14giving the defending Super Bowl champions a leg up in the race for the number one seed in the NFL playoffs.
00:21After the game, one of the major talking points has been a defensive pass interference call
00:26made by the refs in the decisive final moments of the game, which is never a place the NFL wants to be.
00:32With the Detroit Lions trailing by seven points with less than two minutes left in the game,
00:37Lions' C.B. Rock Yasin was called for a D.P.I. call on Eagles' pass catcher, A.J. Brown,
00:43during a third and eight play from the Philly 37-yard line that ended with a Jalen Hurts incompletion.
00:50Instead of facing fourth and eight from their own 37-yard line,
00:53the D.P.I. call gave the birds an automatic first down,
00:57effectively allowing them to run out the rest of the clock and end the game.
01:01A majority of NFL fans were incensed by the call as it was yet another example of an NFL ref
01:07inserting themselves into a crucial moment and ultimately affecting the outcome of the game.
01:12NFL fans outraged by controversial D.P.I. call on A.J. Brown that sealed Eagles' SNF win over Lions.
01:20With the win, the Eagles improved to eight and two, while the Lions fell to five and four,
01:25which actually puts them third in the NFC North behind the seven and three Chicago Bears
01:30and six and three and one Green Bay Packers.
