00:00Truth is only one aspect of pushing back power. You've got to have the narrative for it. You've
00:16got to be able to convey the truth in a way that is accessible. It's really just demanding for
00:23accountability and transparency and governance. It was not a vanity path. You become a journalist,
00:29because you want to serve the public. I grant that journalists become journalists to tell
00:35stories. But I became a journalist to hold power to account, to make government more transparent,
00:41and if need be, to help bring down a dictator.
