Trinidad and Tobago could soon benefit from the United States' recent removal of tariffs on key local exports.

Political Analyst Indira Rampersad says the move will immediately make T&T's products more competitive on the U.S. market.

She shared her assessment on TV6's Morning Edition. Here's more.

01:23that they are in discussions rampasad believes diplomatic dialogue may help ease regional tensions
01:29and avoid conflicts rather than they having to be a war in venezuela a literal war they are engaging
01:37him in discussion and he's engaging in discussions with them and that is something we have to pay attention
01:43to so if that hostility was so high tensions were so high then we would not have seen that negotiations
