Daisy Ridley has revealed that she has Graves' disease. The 'Star Wars' actress opened up about the diagnosis in a Women's Heath cover story, sharing she was told she has the autoimmune disorder last September. Ridley says she realized there was something wrong with her health after filming the thriller 'Magpie,' a movie about a woman losing control as her relationship with her husband crumbles. She said, "I thought, 'Well, I've just played a really stressful role; presumably that's why I feel poorly.'"

00:11Ridley says she realized there was something wrong with her health after filming the thriller Magpie,

00:21Her general practitioner encouraged her to visit an endocrinologist
00:28after experiencing symptoms such as erasing heart rate, weight loss, fatigue, and tremors.
00:34When the doctor described that Graves can make you feel, quote,
00:37tired but wired, this clicked for Ridley.
00:39She said,
00:40It was funny.
00:40I was like, oh, I just thought I was annoyed at the world,
00:43but turns out everything is functioning so quickly you can't chill out.
00:46Since then, Ridley says she has adopted a routine of daily medication
00:49as well as integrating wellness measures such as infrared saunas,
00:53cryotherapy, massages, and acupuncture.
00:55She also decided to go on a gluten-free diet to reduce inflammation.
